| Oct-13-20 | | Big Pawn: <diceman: <Big Pawn: We should think about Trump, his policies and nominees logically, not emotionally.> What's on the other side of this logic process?
A Hillary presidency, with a lib court?
A Biden presidency and a <Green New Deal>?> We have a lib court even though it's branded as a conservative court. When a judge adopts a legal positivist philosophy, they conduct themselves from the moral relativist point of view (lib) and uphold godless lib laws, which is why the country has moved so dramatically left under all of these conservative courts. <Diceman: Mark Levin knows who the actual conservatives are for the court. He was disappointed with Kavanaugh.(He actually told the folks who "Bah")
Havn't heard his show since ACB was selected, and don't know his opinion of her.> Good to hear.
We should rightly think of all of Trump's judicial appointees as RHINOS, if you will. Most people don't see it because they don't know how to see it. They just turn on the news and if they see all the libs wailing and gnashing their teeth over some nominee, they think that nominee must be pro-life. It's not so. Trump's appointees are pro-abortion even when they say they are pro-life. They just hide it behind their legal positivism. When the spilling of innocent blood is protected by law, then we truly live in a nation of lawlessness. If a judge upholds lawlessness, then that is a bad judge, not a good judge, not a qualified judge. That is a person who should not be a judge, yet they are judges and they hide behind legalism. People need to start understanding all of this about judges and SC nominees. What good is a "win" if the judge is still pro-abortion? Beware of legal positivism. |

| Oct-13-20 | | optimal play: I've read a couple of news articles regarding Amy Coney Barrett's first day of confirmation hearings and my impression is that the Democrats are primarily concerned about her view on Obamacare rather than abortion. All the Dems seem to be talking about how ACB will side with those justices who want to roll back the Affordable Care Act. I haven't read anything at all about Rowe v Wade. You seem to be correct in that even the pro-life justices hide behind legalism when it comes to abortion. Is that issue now settled in the USA?
Is the new Supreme Court battle all about Obamacare? |
|
| Oct-13-20 | | thegoodanarchist: Saw that about yelp a few days ago. We have a name for that: libel. Libel used to be illegal. It still will be, though for conservatives only. They don't care about blacks.
They don't care about whites.
They don't care about the poor.
They don't care about illegals.

| Oct-14-20 | | thegoodanarchist: < diceman: <<<Big Pawn: We have a lib court even though it's branded as a conservative court.> >>You'll have to sell that bridge to someone who is buying it.> I've addressed this (not "explained this") a couple of times, with a reference that already explained it. What has unfolded before our eyes (and even before I was born) is Hegel's dialectic. It's what happens when the Marxists get entrenched in our university system. And believe me, they are there. I have 5 of them in my family! Take a look:
http://masculineprinciple.blogspot.... <Gosh, why do libs even need to "pack" the court?> Why try to find a non-stop flight to your destination, when you can get there by making two connections with long layovers? <Why haven't the right libs rewritten your Constitution?> You don't need to rewrite the Constitution when you can just get large private tech companies to control social media. You don't need to rewrite the Constitution when a mayor can fire a police chief because his wife exercised her freedom of speech by making a pro-Trump post on FB or Twitter. When Google can lie to their employees that they can express their opinions anonymously, and then fire the thought criminals. <Taken away your rights? Taken away your guns? > You don't need to rewrite the Constitution when you can just arrest a 17 year old kid on trumped up murder charges, when he was only defending himself against three armed felons. <Banned Rush/Hannity/Levin from the radio?> Don't need to ban them when they stay in the Overton window, when Fox News will fire a head writer from Tucker Carlson's show, fired for going right of the Overton window in his personal life (and gets doxxed by CNN). <Your, the right is the left, is no different then tga's the ballot box doesn't matter.Just a form of surrender.>
Actually, just the opposite. The surrender is continuing to do the same thing (voting GOP) and expecting a different result (overturning Roe v. Wade for example). How many justices have GOP presidents appointed since RvW? How many elections have the RINOs won since RvW? Yet it still stands. <They break you, cause you to give up,
then stomp you into the dirt.>
Republicans lie to you telling you they are different, that they are conservative, yet the Left wins on every social issue, and the abominable Leftist policy from 30 years ago is firmly embraced by the GOP of today (homosexuality, for example). <Without a plan B, the easiest way to stop them is to win.> Win? What winning? We went from abortion is immoral, to "keep it safe and rare", to "celebrate your abortion!" We went from gays in the closet to pedos reading to children in public libraries. | Oct-14-20 | | thegoodanarchist: <diceman: Your, the right is the left, is no different then tga's the ballot box doesn't matter. Just a form of surrender.>
I should have pointed this out in my previous post, but will now. I DID NOT say the ballot box doesn't matter. I said that a) a Trump win buys us time to prepare, and b) the GOP liberalism is about 30 years behind the Democrat's liberalism <Who knew the left was willing to crush us
one at a time?>
You clearly are misrepresenting my views.
<tga doesn't seem to realize that is the win.> Delaying the heretofore victorious march to the Left of the last 60 years is winning? <The GOP has won elections but not eliminated libs. That's why the 17 year old is in the situation he is.> You will never eliminate libs, and I never claimed you could. My point is about our culture. About policy. About law and rights. Never was about the existence of liberals. The GOP wins an election and the culture STILL gets more Marxist. <do the same thing (voting GOP)> No, this is again a mischaracterization of my stance. I am not "voting GOP" I am voting Trump. In case you haven't noticed, I hate the GOP. Have for a long time. Trump is not the GOP. He *hijacked* the GOP, took them over. The GOP despises doing anything about illegal immigration and unfair trade deals. <diceman: <<<Republicans lie to you telling you they are different>>>They are, that's why you moved.>
No, I moved for a job transfer. Besides, Republican *voters* are different. But I was talking about Republican *politicians*. <Since Nixon, when should I have followed
saffuna/HeMateMe and voted Democrat to get that strong right court? (Who knew HMM was that sharp?) > Straw man argument. Saying GOP is not delivering a strong right court is VASTLY different than saying "vote Democrat to get a strong right court. You really do have a problem with dishonestly misrepresenting what I write. <<Win? What winning?>Google Stalin/Mao/North Korea and compare it with your freedoms today.> Now compare it with your freedoms from 1960. It is OBVIOUS the US was much further from Mao/Stalin et. al. in 1960 than today. Could you imagine having McCarthy-style hearings today? Impossible! McCarthy would get banned from social media. I can see Stalinism on the horizon, but *you* had better get your vision checked. <<<<as long as tradcons like you keep thinking you're winning>>>saffuna's on-line course: "In-between-the-ears" and you, Seems to be selling well.> Not in-between-the-ears. Merely reading what you post is enough to know what you post. See, for example, this one: <tga doesn't seem to realize that is the win.> Finally, there is what you call "obvious":
<Here's the obvious.
What do you call it when you hate both sides?> BOTH sides? Who knew there are only 2?? Which of the "both" is pushing to balance the budget? Or pushing for freedom of association? Or to fight big tech censorship? <What do you call it when you think your own side is no good?> Despite over a year of posting about dissident Right politics, you still think my side is included in Dem/GOP uniparty? |
|
| Oct-14-20 | | thegoodanarchist: <diceman: <thegoodanarchist: <If you remember, splitting the US in two, got stuck at "it's complex."> More than two.>

Yeah, what was I thinking? Empires never fail. Now, where's that travel visa to the USSR I've been looking for? <<<<You don't need to rewrite the Constitution><You don't need to rewrite the Constitution> <You don't need to rewrite the Constitution> <Don't need to ban them>> >You do when abortion/gay marriage is the amuse-bouche of the menu.> Did you misunderstand again? Is it on purpose?
The Constitution is worthless if it can be ignored. And, if you've been paying attention lately, you should be able to see that it IS being ignored. <They have some really nice plans for you.> No @#$%, Sherlock. Now can we get an update on what color is the sky? <<We went from abortion is immoral, to "keep it safe and rare", to "celebrate your abortion!">As optimal pointed out, so did the world.> All 200 countries? I doubt it.
<<This is winning to you??>Which Democrats should I have elected to stop it?> No one said anything about electing Dems. The question is, which Republicans stopped it? None. That is the point <BP> was trying to make, and the point I am trying to make. Are you just trolling, or are you having problems with plain English comprehension? |

Big Pawn chessforum (kibitz #4855) I also strongly agreed with all the points in <tga's> follow up post here Big Pawn chessforum (kibitz #4860) In particular,
<<Who knew the left was willing to crush us one at a time?>You clearly are misrepresenting my views. > I don't think <diceman> intends to misrepresent <tga's> position, but I agree that he is. <tga: You will never eliminate libs, and I never claimed you could. My point is about our culture. About policy. About law and rights. Never was about the existence of liberals. The GOP wins an election and the culture STILL gets more Marxist.> Sticking to the <central points> makes this a high quality rebuttal. This discussion started with my post about fake pro-life justices and how the sheep-conservatives don't realize they're getting duped. <dice> and <Tga> picked it up where I left off. I'm glad to see the <central points> being engaged. <Tga: No, this is again a mischaracterization of my stance. I am not "voting GOP" I am voting Trump.> Me too. I left the GOP in 2015 when they all had their knives out for Trump. I was a Trump supporter but not a GOP supporter. The boomer conservatives can't see beyond GOP vs Democrat. <Tga: <Since Nixon, when should I have followed saffuna/HeMateMe and voted Democrat to get that strong right court? (Who knew HMM was that sharp?) >Straw man argument. Saying GOP is not delivering a strong right court is VASTLY different than saying "vote Democrat to get a strong right court.> I'm glad <Tga> called out the straw man because that's exactly what I was thinking when I read <diceman's> post. I'm disappointed in the quality of <diceman's> rebuttals, especially because he is often one of my favorite posters on this site. <tga: Google Stalin/Mao/North Korea and compare it with your freedoms today.> Now compare it with your freedoms from 1960. It is OBVIOUS the US was much further from Mao/Stalin et. al. in 1960 than today.> Again, an excellent response that sticks to the <central point> and illustrating that the culture is closer to Stalin today. That's the whole point of this discussion. With <wins> like the GOP has given us, we've moved closer to Stalin! But with some on the right, it <DOES NOT COMPUTE>! <tga: Despite over a year of posting about dissident Right politics, you still think my side is included in Dem/GOP uniparty?> Again, the sheep-conservatives can't see beyond "BAAAH - GOP GOOD!" "BAAAH - DEMOCRAT BAD" The idea of holding the so-called <conservative> politicians feet to the fire never enters their minds, unless it's really obvious, like a RHINO in the Senate. When it comes to Trump, many on the right have their own brand of Trump Derangement Syndrome and are <UNABLE> to think <critically> about what he's doing, who he's appointing and what he <hasn't> done that he said he would do. I am not one of those people. I am willing to think <critically> and that helps me overcome my bias, which in turn helps me to see clearly and have insight. Great exchange between <dice> and <tga>. This is what the Free Speech Zone is all about. High level discourse. |
