Apr-13-06  Necessary Truths: Whoo-hoo! Anastasian-Izoria = draw, means I win 6 chessbucks!
Apr-13-06  percyblakeney: Inarkiev-Ivanchuk drawn too, while Naiditsch just made a truly horrible blunder in a better position and is losing :-(
Apr-13-06  Necessary Truths: Kozul wins! Who-freaking-hoo! That wins me one big bet and helps on another big one.
Apr-13-06  WarmasterKron: Kozul wins? Fantastic. I've stuck 50 chessbucks on him after he came through in the last round for me.
Apr-13-06  Necessary Truths: At what time do the tickets get paid off? Is it when the round ends and you can confirm who won and lost?
Apr-13-06  percyblakeney: I was convinced that Kozul wouldn't win, being sole leader playing a much higher rated opponent... He can get the title through drawing, but I'm not betting on it anymore after my disasters in the last rounds :-)
Apr-13-06  Necessary Truths: Kozul is rated 2606, his opponent was 2664; that's only 58 points.
Apr-13-06  percyblakeney: Ask Topalov :-)

WannaBe: Get to cash in 5 tickets, and discard 3 today... :-)

Still way down in the standings...

Apr-13-06  WarmasterKron: I'm hoping Kozul doesn't let me down tomorrow. Two in a row now, and I'm starting to wish I'd bet on him to win the whole thing.
Apr-13-06  WarmasterKron: Oh my. I'd have gotten 581:1!

Chessgames Bookie: Betting is now open on the top boards of round ten of the European Championship.

<Necessary Truths> Tickets can be paid off anytime between the end of the game and midnight EST the day of the game.

WannaBe: Everyone is making a mad dash to the window before it closes... :-)
Apr-13-06  themadhair: No more funds. Come tomorrow I'll either be very broke or very rich. Lady luck - have I ever told you how good looking you are? :)
Apr-13-06  Necessary Truths: <Chessgames Bookie> Let's say I grab one of the top ten spots for the Spring Leg; then, come Summer Leg, I am once again in the top ten. I know I won't get any extra money for doing this come Winter Leg, but will I keep someone else from qualifying for the 10 grand? In other words, do you count the top ten each leg or the top ten who haven't previously qualified?
Apr-14-06  Dr.Fritz: I just suck!

Chessgames Bookie: <Necessary Truths> Good question. Yes, you will lock out another potential qualifier for the championship. Unless you're really sporting, it would be in your best interest to do so. There is no guarantee that 30 people will end up qualified--that's the maximum, but it might half that, or even smaller.

Chessgames Bookie: <lostemperor: <Chessgames Bookie> how can someone (natrix) be -771? I thought you can only borrow $500 maximum. Even with interest it couldn't be -771 yet.> The loanshark offers you larger loans when your net worth increases. Somebody won a bet, then maxed out their credit, then lost it all. Poor sod.
Apr-14-06  whatthefat: Wow, there's a total pool of only <<<9>>> chessbucks on Kozul winning the Euro champs!! That'll pay over 5000 if he can keep his lead!
Apr-14-06  themadhair: Can't believe how addictive this game is. I got up early this morning and was compelled to loanshark it just to make bets damn it! Good job I never really gamble then:).
Apr-14-06  Necessary Truths: Umm, somehow I increased my net worth by 500 chessbucks without winning any bets. It should be 4029 (and still is on the left side of the screen), but reads as 4529 on the leaderboard and on my profile. All I did was take out a loan and spent some money on bets.
Apr-14-06  percyblakeney: Hmm, I've made 49% of the bets on draw in European Individual Championship: Rd 10 Bd 1: Belov-Kozul
Apr-14-06  Necessary Truths: Well, I'll thank you for your money if you lose. I've put about one third of the money on laying 'Draw'.
Apr-14-06  themadhair: Chessbookie - how much has the loanshark loaned out it total?
Apr-14-06  percyblakeney: Thank you Zdenko Kozul for today's draw, your wins are forgiven! :-)
