Nov-19-08 | | technical draw: <chessperson13><Hey Chessbookie I wish you gave information before the game like these guys do> Sounds like insider trading to me and that's illegal.
(unless you win and slip me some of your earnings so I would like the other way)....TD |
Nov-19-08 | | NakoSonorense: I just broke the $6,000 barrier for the first time in this leg. And if Armenia wins, I'll break the sound barrier! |
Nov-19-08 | | technical draw: <Nako> Alábate pollo que mañana te guisan. |
Nov-19-08 | | NakoSonorense: <TD> Sometimes I see you on the leaderboard, sometimes I don't. You're more unstable than the US economy. Te estare esperando aqui arriba ya que yo si me mantengo en el los primeros lugares del liderato de la tabla. |
Nov-20-08 | | technical draw: < Nako> <Nobody is more unstable than the US Govt.> Estoy en posicion 14 pero bajaré mas despues de los resultados de hoy.
I think <sneaky> uses some kind of mathematical formula to make his predictions. He seems very knowledgeable of betting games, so I'm sure he knows what he's doing. I prefer my method though. If, for example, I don't know any chess player from a country, I simply put my chessbux on the other team. Who said ignorance isn't bliss? :) |
Nov-20-08 | | technical draw: From now on You can consider all teams as being even. So I'll play the highest paying team. Great system, right? |
Nov-20-08 | | technical draw: <nako> Well you're in solid 4th. I drop to 16th, darn. Did you see that sneaky whizz by me? Man, he's good. I'm not panicking just yet. I have heavy bets on the Olympiad over all winners. I gotta get to that 10th spot....(If I don't I'll have to pull another TD!)..... |
Nov-20-08 | | redribbon3700: Chessbookie when will this league end? |
Nov-20-08
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <redribbon3700> Sometime around the end of December. |
Nov-23-08
 | | Chnebelgrind: Position 1! I can't believe it. So it was <Schaaknerd> who has set 10000 chessbucks on Russia against Ukraine.
I know that this 6835 cbs probably are not enough to qualify for the finals. Last league I stopped betting with 8000 cbs and was overtaken by quite a number of people. A win of Poland in the Women's Olypiad would be nice (4549 cbs for me :-)) |
Nov-23-08
 | | Open Defence: you gotta know when to hold em... know when to fold em.. know when to walk away, know when to run.... |
Nov-23-08
 | | Chnebelgrind: mooo! |
Nov-23-08 | | NakoSonorense: Wow... <Schaaknerd> is down to 2,000. There's still hope for us patzers to win! If I had not been so careless about my bets, I could be leading right now!!! :( |
Nov-23-08 | | technical draw: Let's not all get excited now. I'm back and I have my eyes on first. You can't count your money while sitting at the table, there'll be plenty time for counting, once the dealings done..... |
Nov-24-08 | | TITIKIZA: chessbokie. are the games not starting 5hours ealier tomorrow?are we going to be allowed betting during games? |
Nov-25-08 | | bharatiy: hi guys when the fall leg will be over? |
Nov-25-08
 | | Chnebelgrind: sorry guys I get aother 5000 chessbucks!
<bharatiy> go back seven posts and you have the answer |
Nov-25-08 | | NakoSonorense: <Chnebelgrind> You too? It seems like I'll never have the lead in this game.
Moo! |
Nov-25-08
 | | Chnebelgrind: Don't give up <Nako> My luck can't last for ever. On the other hand I am not sure that I can keep the lead (there always is a lucky dog that has its day). See you in the final. CGrind |
Nov-25-08 | | technical draw: Hey, that was a lot of fun! I lost 1400 cb's! But do you see me crying? (I hope not). Well this leg is history for me. Unless I start getting loans and then, maybe, uh, when does this leg end? |
Nov-25-08 | | technical draw: Oops! I see the question was already asked. Well I have plenty of time to catch up. |
Nov-26-08 | | Touch of Knight: Chessbookie. Not that I am particularly proud of what I have achieved, but it seems I have managed to disappear completely from the Leaderboard. It might have happened because my current net worth is exactly zero. A bug in your system? |
Nov-26-08 | | technical draw: OK, I'm in 86th place. No time to panic TD. Just take a deep breath, there, now don't you feel better? Like hell I do! I want to be on the leaderboard for all to admire! OK, TD, think, think. How about cheating? Already tried it once, it didn't work. Bribery? No.
Kidnap the Chessbookie's girlfriend?
Are you crazy? They'll kill me!
Ok, I've got it! Why didn't I think of it before? I'll make winning bets! Shhh!, don't tell anyone, they may copy my great idea. |
Nov-28-08 | | GeauxCool: <CB> Thanks for a great leg. I learned that dutching small bets, works the best on large pots. The last bet I had was Arno's move, a3 Bb3 and Re2 were all dutched to win a profit no matter what his choice. It was also fun to win 6,000 on Georgia after dutching the Olympiad. Sorry that I can't stick around. Good luck to all! |
