SwitchingQuylthulg: <Chessgames Bookie> Will this leg end on last day of Turneul Regilor?

  SwitchingQuylthulg: OK I guess not...

<Poikovsly [sic] Karpov
Rd 8: Motylev vs Gashimov
MINIMUM BET: 5 CURRENT HANDLE: 7,303 CLOSES: Jun-11-09 PAYS: Nov-09-09>

Jun-11-09  malthrope: <SwitchingQuylthulg: OK I guess not...

<Poikovsly [sic]>>

Sure hope <"Poikovsly"> gets better shortly! ~lol~ ;)

<Switch> - previously <kspiteri> wrote (in a reply back to <bharatiy>):

<<1. The leg finishes close to the end of June. 2. Top finisher gets a free year of premium membership. Top ten get 10,000 in winter leg.>>

To which <ChessBookie> replied (May-28-09):

<<bharatiy> You're questions were answered accurately by <kspiteri>.>

So, yeah after the - Bazna Kings: Winner - tourney [TURNEUL REGILOR - June 14-25]. Unless, of course, <ChessBookie> has one last devious bet for us to worry over! :P - Mal

SwitchingQuylthulg: <malthrope> I know well the leg ends near the end of June. I just want to know a precise date. I don't want the Bookie just waits until someone else grabs #1 and then declares the leg finished :)
Jun-11-09  malthrope: <SwitchingQuylthulg: <malthrope> I know well the leg ends near the end of June. I just want to know a precise date. [...]>

<Switch> - you sure had me fooled! ~lol~ ;) Well, as per <ChessBookie>'s usual custom a precise date is not generally posted until <ChessBookie> decides to give it to us. Clearly, all we have now is that it's near the end of June and most likely coincides with the finish of the "Bazna Kings' Tournament". :) - Mal

Jun-11-09  bharatiy: I can see <Switch> is worried because of me! Let me assure him that habitual gambler that I am, I will be in negative very soon!!
Jun-11-09  NakoSonorense: At -5,421, I think it is fair to say that I probably will not win this leg, so I better say sayonara... but I'll be back next leg, so WATCH OUT!
Jun-11-09  technical draw: <Nako> Yeah me too. It's time to face the facts like a man. I'm not winning a darn thing. Waaaaa! Why am I such a loser!!??
Jun-11-09  wordfunph: <bharatiy: I can see <Switch> is worried because of me! Let me assure him that habitual gambler that I am, I will be in negative very soon!!>

<bharatiy> expecting $14k today and slowly inching his way to unreachable <Switch>...

battle for 4th to 10th slots is heating up..

good luck to all of my chessbookie classmates!

Jun-12-09  malthrope: <CHESSGAMES LOANSHARK
YOUR LOAN: 3,999 CHESSBUCKS: 2,711
Very well, malthrope.
That brings your balance to 3,999.

If I don't get the rest soon, yer name's gonna be "mud" in this town.>

You gotta luv the <ChessBookie> Loanshark! ;)

He always says the cutest things! ~lol~ :P

Jun-12-09  bharatiy: as promised I lost 5000 bucks!
Jun-12-09  wordfunph: you wasted a huge $5,000 bro <bharatiy> whew!
Jun-12-09  jameskobe: thanks <wordfunph>. i am becoming a small time bettor especially now that finishing in top 10 has some consolations. but still 2 more weeks, so i guess anything can still happen. goodluck to you too friend.adik na tayo heheh!!!
Jun-12-09  bharatiy: <wordfunph> I betted that not all of them will draw. Actually because of one result its only 5000 or it would have been almost 10000. Anyway, I think I will still be in top 10. So it should be ok. You are doing good though good luck.

I just won $250 today, better than negative huh! Adik na nga ahehe!

<bharatiy> heavy betting on your part my friend. Pacing, luck, strategy and patience are key elements to overhaul the insurmountable lead of <Switch>, difficult task but still possible though I would be happy to land in top 10. Have faith and wish you all the best bookie classmate <bharatiy>!

Chessbookie rocks!!!

Jun-17-09  pulsar: So what it is: All draw in Bazna in round three or did Radja really win against Shirov? I'm concerned because three draws would give me a win in Pick Three. I checked earlier today and the projected payout was 900 chessbucks or so, and now it's gone down to around 300!

It's not like a win would propel me near the top of the Bookie standings but, you know, I've been teetering on the brink of losing all of my chessbucks and the depression that comes with it.

So <Chessbookie>, please, be kind to us...

Jun-17-09  pulsar: Or is there an extra payment for causing all these jitters? :)
Jun-17-09  malthrope: <pulsar: Or is there an extra payment for causing all these jitters? :)>

Hehehe... Rest assured it was a draw, so Rd #3 Pick-3 of "D-D-D" wins the day! <CG.com> still has to correct the result on the Bazna tourney page (listed incorrectly there as 1-0) game score and leaderboard. Even I had a double take for a brief moment in time when the 'draw' was agreed. Then I see that 37... Nb4 holds everything! :D - Mal

BTW: Once I saw GM Shirov analyze an ending (ICC online)... All I can say is that it was one amazing experience! ;)

Jun-17-09  pulsar: <malthrope> I finally collected 400+ chessbucks. Not 900+ but not bad at all considering that the projected payout was around 300 yesterday when I checked. So <CG> must have made up for my nervousness, hehe. :)

I liked Shirov's style since I played through his games more than a decade ago. Through his current ups and downs, I still hope he pulls through. :D

Jun-18-09  wordfunph II: hehe! welcome back to chessbookie bespren <pulsar>..

I know you made a self-rehab as an addict in bookie but chessbookie is too challenging, entertaining, and engrossingggg!

Jun-18-09  wordfunph II: bro <jameskobe> you're now #12!!!! wahaha! Congrats my friend!
Jun-18-09  jameskobe: bro<wordfunph> thanks, but the real story is i lose in all my bets but the good thing others have bigger loses. but i'll take it. Just 2 more places up and ...heheh

bro <jameskobe> i know that you lost coz your chessbucks is around $4400 before 4th round of Bazna. Importante pang #12 ka na. Homestretch na bro, i wish you all the best! I lost $111 last night pero ok lang bawi tayo..

Jun-20-09  protean: <Chessgames Bookie / chessgames.com> On my profile it says I have 10,000 chessbucks (presumably this is because I never used the 10K when I earned them) but I assume that's a mistake. I'm not likely to be betting anyway.

Just thought you should know in case it's a "bug" or whatever you computer people call it.
