Sep-15-09  Bradah: Chessbookie, can I make a request? Can you include Spice Cup 2009 betting? After all it ends September 29. Thanks for the consideration.
Sep-15-09  technical draw: Maybe it's none of my bee's wax, but why does user : User: buhomorado show a balance of +$4,195 cb's on his user page but is nowhere in the standings?
Sep-16-09  malthrope: <SloVice: Leg Update: [...] <malthrope you just made my ~ChessBookie Betting Quote of the Month!~ ;)> Thank you kindly! I'm honored!>

The pleasure was all mine <SloVice> :))

"Good Luck" to everyone else in the remainder of the <ChessBookie> Summer betting leg! :D - Mal

Sep-17-09  jameskobe: <chessbookie>, i agree with <bradah>. why not include SPICE Cup and extend this leg until 29th of Sept. The upcoming tournament will be an exciting one and might give some surprises. Any thoughts?

Chessgames Bookie: <Bradah> <jameskobe> The summer leg will have to close on the 26th so that we can offer betting on the Nanjing tournament, which starts on the 27th, in the fall leg. However, we will have wagering on individual rounds of the SPICE Cup, up until the 25th.
Sep-17-09  technical draw: I lost all bets in the last round. Being on the edge of the cliff is agonizing. I don't know if I should make large bets or no bets. If those below me make large bets and win I'm cooked but if I make large bets and lose then I'm also cooked. If I drop another notch then I'm betting the farm.
Sep-17-09  NakoSonorense: No guts, no glory. I say you go for the big fish and bet it all!

I am at -20,000 right now. I think I am most likely not going to win this time.

chessgames.com: FYI: There is a known bug which effects people who play the Chess Bookie game then stop playing. The bug is that their last known amount of chessbucks remains visible on their profile page, even months or years later when the leg that they participated in is long gone.

So it's a bug but it's not a problem, as it doesn't effect the game in any way. We will try to get that fixed at the end of this month when we close this leg and start the new one. Thanks for your patience.

Sep-17-09  jameskobe: <chessbookie> thanks! Excellent!

<Nako> don't lose hope.It ain't over 'til its over. FIGHTINGGGGGGGGG!!! LOL

Sep-18-09  technical draw: Oh, Oh, I'm in tenth place. Now the gloves come off. 1,000 on Short/Efimenko.
Sep-18-09  technical draw: And where de <feripe> come from? Now I have a swarm of players trying to grab that 9th and 10th place. No time for scared money.

Chessgames Bookie: The Bitalzadeh vs Swinkels bet was inadvertently left open after the game had already started. All bets made after the game began have been refunded.
Sep-19-09  technical draw: I'm in 10th place and I gained one (1) measly chessbuck in the last round. There's a lot of bucks bet on Short/Efimenko and Reinderman/Giri so there will be changes in the next round. I gotta think, think....
Sep-19-09  Bradah: Spice Cup betting? I guess not at this time. Sorry folks, the tournament already started. Pour all that chessbucks on Bitalzadeh, who? No fun..... zzzzzzzzzzz
Sep-19-09  Bradah: <Chessgames Bookie: <Bradah> <jameskobe> The summer leg will have to close on the 26th so that we can offer betting on the Nanjing tournament, which starts on the 27th, in the fall leg. However, we will have wagering on individual rounds of the SPICE Cup, up until the 25th.>

No bettin' and no fun....what's the excuse now? Round 2...

Sep-20-09  technical draw: Picked up 600cb's last round and made it into the 6,000 group. But that won't be enough when the Short/Efimenko bets get paid. Think, TD, think.
Sep-20-09  technical draw: I sense the hand of <sneaky> in those large bets to draw in Short/Efimenko. Right?

Sneaky: Game 1: Short vs Efimenko : Efimenko [cash in ticket] 310 YOU WIN! COLLECT 3589

Woo hoo!

Sep-21-09  technical draw: I have a sneaky suspicion that <Sneaky> is trying to win this one. It will be the greatest comeback ever I think.
Sep-21-09  Bradah: RD 4 Kuzubov vs Andrekin- hot tip... draw, place all your chessbucks now, I am working for tips now, loanshark is nowhere in sight. hehehehe
Sep-21-09  technical draw: I picked up 1,200 cb's this round. I'm just content to stay in the top 10 and qualify so I'll just be making small bets from now on.
Sep-22-09  Bradah: Rd 4 tip was a hit!!!!!!

Chessgames Bookie: All the betting propositions for the remainder of the summer leg have been laid out. The last bets are on the 6th game of the Short-Efimenko match on the morning of the 26th. There will be no betting on the SPICE Cup games of the 26th. Good Luck to all!
Sep-25-09  technical draw: Well, <ROADDOG> makes it to the top 10 again. But there is a huge fight for that 9-10 spot. Good luck to all.
Sep-25-09  ROADDOG: <technical draw:> Yes, yes and the band played who'd of thought it! Thx for the tips. I need Short to at least draw tomorrow to keep those bucks. Surely he will?
