SwitchingQuylthulg: <Bookie> Today's bets for Biel remained open for several minutes after the games had started - probably because your system clock is off!

As a result, there was a window of maybe two or three minutes when one could safely put all one's money on OTHER in Biel: Rd 2: Carlsen vs Shirov: Opening and be 100% sure of winning. Luckily it would appear that nobody exploited it, but you should still be aware of this so we won't get another opportunity next round.

Jul-19-11  Winter: Fabiano is playing the White pieces!? (Chessbomb)

Pick 3 for round 2 says,

Pelletier vs Caruana

Chessgames Bookie: Due to a mix-up over who had the white pieces, both Biel: Rd 2: Pelletier vs Caruana and Biel: Rd 2: Pick Three have been cancelled and all bets refunded.

Chessgames Bookie: <SwitchingQuylthulg> We found out that our system clock was a full 5 minutes slow. Thank you for pointing this out. Luckily the logfiles indicated that nobody tried to cheat this way, but in the future we will close all bets that have to do with the opening moves 15 minutes prior to game time.

juan31: Chessgames Bookie: ¿Will you please explain the reason for not grant a loan to my account ? Thank you in advance for your answer.
Jul-28-11  dakgootje: Oops. Just bet $50 on a wrong option. Well, got some very long odds all of a sudden - let's hope for an upset! :P
Jul-28-11  wordfunph: <dakgootje> it happened to me before and guess what, my 'wrong choice' turned into gold!
Jul-28-11  dakgootje: Whahaha - yeah, I've temporarily been turned into a big Pelletier fan ;)
Jul-28-11  dakgootje: Also interesting, if Pelletier wins - and I lose all my other bets - I will end up with <exactly> 1000 bucks.
Jul-28-11  hms123: When will the WTC bets be paid off? The settlement date was July 26. Thanks.
Jul-28-11  dakgootje: heh, had 780 today on the line and -if I counted correctly- I think I made a profit of 11.

Not world's best ROI.

Jul-30-11  dakgootje: Wiiiiiieeee - jumped from 990 [place 75] to 2642 [place 6]!

Certainly one of my best days so far :)

Jul-30-11  hms123: <chessbookie> I am running out of money because I haven't collected yet.

SETTLEMENT DATE: Jul-26-11
PROJECTED PAYOUT: 556 (9:2)

Jul-31-11  AnimusEtOblivio: Going for double-or-nothing tomorrow. Not the wisest decision, but it seemed exciting enough :p

Chessgames Bookie: Because wagering on round 8 of the FIDE Grand Prix Women's tournament was left open after the round had already been played, we have refunded all bets on that round.
