Penguincw: Here's what I find annoying:

GIRI is the favourite to win tomorrow's game even though he has BLACK against the tournament leader, NAKAMURA tomorrow. Plus, Nakamura is the higher rated player.

Winner Pool Your stake fract. odds* dec. odds* Example

Nakamura 1,125 x 3:1 3.88 A winning 10 chessbuck ticket pays out 38 chessbucks.

Giri < 2,716 > x 2:3 1.64 A winning 10 chessbuck ticket pays out 16 chessbucks.

Draw 693 x 11:2 6.27 A winning 10 chessbuck ticket pays out 62 chessbucks.

*Odds are computed continually as new bets are made, and are subject to change before betting closes.

x I perfer not to disclose my wager.

chessgames.com: Round 10 will indeed be the last betting day of the leg. We added Reggio Emilia Rd 10: PICK THREE to help the underdogs get a boost. Good luck!

Thanks. :) Probably not even going to be near the leaderboard. Is Tata going to be the first tournament of the new leg?

  Penguincw: Thanks Giri. :)

Reggio Emilia Rd 9: Nakamura-Giri : Giri [info] 100 LIVE BET 3:1 3.88 388 Jan-05-12

Saved my day. I still loss 1 chessbuck though. :|

Penguincw: Don't forget to pay us! I could use an extra 419 chessbucks of betting (plus maybe another loan tomorrow).
Jan-05-12  TheFocus: Please pay us off so that I can bet for the last round.

Only 668 bucks left, and I refuse to take out a loan. Wouldn't help. Might hurt my feelings to ask.

Jan-05-12  TheFocus: If I had stopped betting two tournaments, I would still be in the Top Ten. Down from #1 to below 200.

So, this is what it feels like to fail.

No wonder I have never struck it rich in Vegas.

Once I drove into Vegas in a $50,000 car and left on a $250,000 bus.

Jan-05-12  wordfunph: i have nothing to ask from <CGB>, i lost all my chessbucks yesterday :(

<loanshark> more $$$ please..

last round today, goodluck to all my bookie classmates..

Jan-05-12  TheFocus: Have to admit though. This was a great tournament. Lot of surprises!

Penguincw: At this rate I would have to stay up all night. :(
Jan-05-12  wordfunph: <TheFocus> ...and Reggio was the toughest huhu!

Emilia cost me 8k :(

Jan-05-12  TheFocus: Hmmm. I see that if the Bookie had paid up, I would have 1200+.

So, I borrowed $1,000.

Bring it on! <Focus> wants to play.

And if they pay off in the next 30 minutes, I am doubling every bet.

Jan-06-12  wordfunph: 7 hours to gametime but no pay off pfffftttt :(

same old story, very frustrating..

<CGB> <chessgames.com> i volunteer to handle bookie payments, could you give me that power?

games usually end from 12 midnight to 5am here in the Philippines, i can easily facilitate payments at 7am.

for the satisfaction of everyone, hope you grant my request. Thank you.

Chnebelgrind: Thanks for paying off in time <Chessgames Bookie> and for correcting the closing time of pick three.
Jan-06-12  dakgootje: Last round! Bet big and bet often! :D
Jan-06-12  dakgootje: For future reference:

When I say 'Bet big and bet often', I do <not> mean 'dump 1k on my pick-3 option'.

That kind of kills my odds.

Penguincw: I wish I woke up earlier so that I could actually use my 400+ chessbucks. However by the time I woke up today betting would even be closed on a regular round. :(
