Jan-19-12  SloVice: <td> Indeed, I'm keeping pace with you. Did you pay back your loan?

I just can't seem bring myself to bet big $$ on Tata Steel tickets, I just want to survive it.

Jan-19-12  technical draw: <SloVice><Did you pay back your loan?> Yep, sure did. Had to pay $50 in interests but now I have at least a $500 cushion I can splurge with.

  Penguincw: I made a small profit. I guess my bets cancelled out some of my bets. :-\
Jan-19-12  technical draw: And thanks to the bookie for simplifying the pick three instructions. Now it's easier to see the options.
Jan-19-12  wordfunph: my round 5 hero was Boris :)

<Tata Steel Rd 5: Karjakin vs Gelfand : Gelfand [cash in ticket] 100 YOU WIN! COLLECT 1266 12:1 12.66 1,266 Jan-19-12>

..and DDD again as villain :(

Jan-19-12  technical draw: Hey, <wordfunph>, I had a 100 on Gelfand too. But I loss 700 elsewhere.

  Penguincw: Interesting. I take out a loan, my max. bet is 200. I return the loan (right away) it's 300. So, I need the 750 to bet 300 so I decide the wager my remaining 97 on a 200 chessbuck ticket I have. It turns out, I take out a loan, and my max. bet is 200. In plain english, I take out a loan, my max. bet is 200 and I have 297 on a bet. :-\
Jan-19-12  TheFocus: I am in the celler. It is cold and damp and rat-filled.

I blame Carlsen. And Aronian.

So, you two guys might want to travel in groups for a while. Because I may just go ballistic.

I would not take any vacations to Hawaii in the near future if I were you two. I will be waiting.

Jan-19-12  wordfunph: <TheFocus: I am in the celler. It is cold and damp and rat-filled.>

<TF> i know how it feels, i've been there and the place stinks. The only way out is <loanshark> and bet on ridiculous odds.

<bubuli55> might be feeling the same and so here's one..

go <TF> <bubuli> fight!!

Jan-19-12  TheFocus: Me and the Loan Shark are on a first name basis now. I call him Sir. He calls me Deadbeat.

Jan-20-12  dakgootje: Wow.. making some small and steady bucks isn't really your thing - is it <SQ>?

  SwitchingQuylthulg: <dakkie> Not when I'm trailing <Chnebelgrind> by 11K, it isn't :) This round I'm sitting on my hands.

<eternaloptimist: switch reminds me of a yoyo.>

Jan-20-12  dakgootje: Ugh.. why do they play the Berlin in games where I'm needing one of the players to win..

Topalov winning today would make life much easier for me ;)

500 on him, and got several pick-3 options starting with White.

Here's hoping Chucky implodes - which would be fine justice for playing the Berlin.

  eternaloptimist: wow switch got on top of the leaderboard out of "nowhere"! what a turnaround...good job! <eternaloptimist: switch reminds me of a yoyo.> yes i said that b/c u move up & down a lot in the standings but i doubt that anyone who plays chessbookie underestimates your skill in this game. u r definitely 1 of the best, most brilliant & bold 'bookie players around.

  Penguincw: < dakgootje: There is not yet a pick-3 for round 7 [or other exotic in its stead] >

I agree. Pick 3, personally, is not one of my favourite bets, but I do like playing it sometimes.

Jan-20-12  technical draw: 800 bet on round 7. The more draws you see the less I win....
Jan-20-12  dakgootje: 950 on round 7 here so far. Of which 1 bet is on a draw - so it'd be fine with me if the other games would be won ;)
Jan-20-12  Midas Touch: Hope Levon plays solid up to the last round for me to land at top 10!!!
