Penguincw: This kind of thing never happens with Pick 3. The smallest paying ticket is "Polgar" which inks out odds of 6.52. So, if you bet the minimum (1 chessbuck), you will profit 6 chessbucks. The highest paying (that I could find of) is "Hou-Adams-Movessian-Polgar" and "Hou-Bologan-Movessian-Polgar", which each has odds of 1026.40, so staking even 1 c$ will get 1,026 (excluding juice, of course).

< wordfunph...
maybe in the future, if we run dry of Superfecta then Megaperfecta (or Pick 5) will satisfy our cravings for chessbookie addiction. >

That sounds interesting. Although, I can only think of a few that can actually follow the format. Currently, there's Tata and Tal.

Feb-02-12  technical draw: < A winning 10 chessbuck ticket pays out 38110 chessbucks. >

You can't win more than the total pool (less juice). Right now the max anyone can win is appx 10,000.

I know. Since the stake was 1 thin c$, you got to divide it by 10, and subtract juice, plus other factors, and you've got yourself a profit. However, the Polgar option won and pays off odds of about 6.52. :-\

Penguincw: Interesting. I hope Le Quang Liem wins the title for a third time. :) Doesn't Aeroflot insure a seed to Dortmund or something?

thank you.

Penguincw: For Aeroflot Open: Rd 2: Sandipan-Vidit, the total pool is just 10! Someone will hit the jackpot. However, if they were both from the same person, they'll actually NOT profit due to the tiny juice, I guess. If Vidit wins, refund time!
Feb-08-12  dakgootje: heh - is that an alltime low? :P

Didn't have any time to bet this round - but seems I didn't miss much either ;)

Probably. Although I "heard rumors" that A Giri vs Ponomariov, 2011 was nothing. Obviously, it's the lowest this leg, and also the lowest betting round this leg (about 10,813*). The second lowest was the last round of Gibraltar (27,431*)

Spelling error:
Aeroflot Open Rd3: PICK THREE

It's <Ni Hua> not <Ni Hau>. Thanks. :)

Also, no chance anther small wager now. The lowest is Aeroflot Open Rd3: Zhigalko-Khismatullin with 222 chessbucks in (all on Zhigalko winning). :)

Feb-08-12  wordfunph: <You know the drill! Pick three games for huuuuge winnings! The games are: 1. Yang Shen-Ray Robson, 2. Wenjun Ju-Ni Hau, 3. Gajewski-Bu.>
