Penguincw: Maybe I know why they're paying the bets late. Here's one of my tickets

Reykjavik Open: WINNER : Caruana [info] 15 LIVE BET 5:4 2.24 33 <Mar-18-12>

So they'll pay us Sunday. :-\

Mar-15-12  brankat: The longer the money sits in the bank, the more interest the Bookie collects :-)

Penguincw: At least he warned us ahead of time. :)

In Mecking vs Granda Match: WINNER, Granda Zuniga is the favourite, while the tie is second, and Mecking is the underdog.

Mar-15-12  brankat: The first game must be over by now. Where can we find out about the result? Thank You.

Penguincw: No result found. But here's what I found, related to the match.

http://ratings.fide.com/tournament_...

Got some old matches, basic info about the match, but no results! I'm starting to wonder how <cg> found the match in the first place. :-\

Mar-15-12  brankat: <Penguincw> I suppose the Match must have been posted on FIDE official calendar way ahead of time.

Penguincw: I gained 8 chessbucks. Thanks Caruana. :)

And not even FIDE has the results!

  Penguincw: New bet out.

European Individual Championship: WINNER

And it pays Apr. 1.

< Mar-13-12 Penguincw: I thought it ended on April Fool's Day, or is that the closing ceremony? >

Mar-16-12  technical draw: Cool, I lose 300cbs yet move from 4th to 3rd. If I keep losing pretty soon I'll be in 1st place.
Mar-17-12  brankat: Where/how can we find out about the progress of Mecking-Garnda Zuniga match?

<Status: Provisório> = Status: Provisional

Mar-18-12  brankat: First two games should be completed already.
Mar-18-12  Mozart72: I've done my homework. Bwin gives Anand (2799) odds @ 1.27 and Gelfand (2727) odds @ 3.40. If we add the implied probabilities we get 108.15%. An 8.15% Over-Round for Bwin. But if we use the Win Expectency Formula and input the players ratings we get a 99.99%. No Over-Round! The fair odds: Anand @ 1.66 and Gelfand @ 2.51. A big difference for Gelfand.
Mar-18-12  Mozart72: Mecking's rating before the match 2589 fair odds @ 2.34

Granda's rating before the match 2640
fair odds @ 1.74

Penguincw: This might not seem fair, but here's what I'm thinking. If not one site on the Internet would even allow us to see the bare minimum (winner), then within a few days, you should refund all.

It doesn't seem fair, because some people wagered on it weeks ago, in return for good hopes, but now, they get it back. That's just what I'm thinking.

Mar-19-12  brankat: <Chessgames Bookie> Now that the European Men's Individual Championship has started are we going to have the tournament kibitzing page? Thank You.

Mar-19-12  wordfunph: while awaiting for our hard-working <CGB> for European Men's Individual Championship pairings and Pick4, i'm offering all my fellow bookie addicts to have a gulp of these Filipino ice-cold beers --- just to calm down our nerves in the homestretch of ChessBookie Championship of the World :)
