Chessgames Bookie: I'm so sorry, I thought that the round started at 16:30 GMT. Fortunately we have a program that will undo all action that took place subsequent to the actual start time, which I now realize is 11:30am server time.

What this means is, all bettors who placed bets after 11:30am will get a full refund on those tickets (whether or not they would have won or lost). The odds are of course recomputed after the refund process. It's a little awkward, but it's the only fair way to correct such mistakes.

Feb-23-13  WinKing: <chessbookie> you have the betting on the Zurich Chess Challenge 'winner' closing 14 hours later than Round 1 starts. Don't forget to close betting on the 'winner' *before* the Round starts.

Just tryin' to save you from having extra work to do...which you will if you forget. :)

Feb-24-13  bubuli55: Can we have more betting on Reykjavik Open plz? :)
Feb-24-13  gauer: It would be great to be able to wager on Iceland again, now that it's getting late into the rounds and interesting. Betting window would want to close at the same round start time as yesterday.

Chessgames Bookie: So sorry I paid that off wrong, as the old timers here know we have magic software to erase and correct such mistakes.

The next question is, what's next on the chess calendar to wager on?

Is Women's World Team Chess Championship good enough? ;-) Candidates Tournament then.

Chessgames Bookie: <Women's World Team Chess Championship> Thanks Natalia--that will definitely do just fine! I have all the info I need from http://astana2013.fide.com.

We'll put up a bet on the Candidates tournament soon, and that will be the final event of the Championship leg.

Chessgames Bookie: And here's the bet you've all been waiting for:

World Championship Candidates Tournament: WINNER

Note that while we usually ignore tiebreak protocol and pay off multiple players when there is a tie, in this case we DO respect the tiebreaks of the tournament should they become necessary.

moronovich: <Who who will> the World Championship Candidates Tournament and therefore be the challenger to Anand? For purposes of this bet, the tiebreak procedure of the tournament will be taken into account, and only tickets on the single winner will be paid.>

Who,who let the dogs out ?? ;)

On a serious note : It is not assured you can pay out the first of April,in case of a tiebreak.
