  Chnebelgrind: <World Cup rd 6.2: Andreikin-Tomashevsky> isn't it Tomashevsky-Andreikin?
Aug-26-13  notyetagm: <BOOKIE>

Yes, one of you're <6.2> pairings is wrong: it's White Tomashevsky vs Black Andreikin.

Chessgames Bookie: Yes, <World Cup rd 6.2: Andreikin-Tomashevsky> should have read <World Cup rd 6.2: Tomashevsky-Andreikin>.

We are inclined to let the draw payoff stand as the pairings should have been well known to all.

Also, we added World Cup rd 6 tiebreaks: Tomashevsky-Andreikin Armageddon?, a proposition bet for those who want to gamble on the longshot for an Armageddon game.

Aug-28-13  AnimusEtOblivio: Well, looks like I am all-in on a La Grave-Andreikin final. The payoff is looking fantastic, and I think the odds are pretty good. *fingerscrossed*
Aug-28-13  bubuli55: Can we have more to bet on? Like over/under, who has the last move, what opening, daily double, last piece to move.

Thx

Aug-29-13  SoUnwiseTheKnight B4: yeah, you can offer so many bets for drawn games. Like; draw agreed Under 35th, draw agreed Over 35th, perpetual check, bare kings draw, stalemate.
Aug-29-13  SoUnwiseTheKnight B4: If only white plays a 35th move the under wins and if white plays a 36th move the over wins, if black plays a 35th move they both lose. And for perpetual check you can offer, white plays perpetual or black plays perpetual. :)
Aug-31-13  SoUnwiseTheKnight B4: I forgot move repetition. All these draw bets (some anyway) might be interesting for the November match.

Chessgames Bookie: We don't like to offer bets on repetition because it's often unclear if the repeated position actually appeared over the board all three times.

We will be keeping our eye out for new wagers in the near future.

The Summer Leg will end sometime near the end of this month, we'll give you an exact date soon.

Sneaky: WE NEED MOAR BETZ!!! :p
Sep-03-13  brankat: There are still 3 rounds left in the 14th Karpov International.
Sep-04-13  bubuli55: Haha that is so funny. Loanshark calls me bubs.

I've got to find a place to invest his money otherwise I might end up with a broken leg. :)

SwitchingQuylthulg: <Bookie> Bets on round 8 of 14th Karpov International (2013) are closing one hour late.
Sep-07-13  brankat: And, there was no betting on round #9 at all.
Sep-10-13  bubuli55: What the heck? At my age sometimes the body does not follow what the mind thinks. I'm thinking a draw on Naka-Magz but my finger pressed on Naka to win. Oh well... There's a 1000 on the pot. Enjoy
Sep-10-13  WinKing: <Sinquefield Cup rd 3 DAILY DOUBLE

MINIMUM BET: 3 CURRENT HANDLE: 275 CLOSES: Sep-11-13 PAYS: Sep-11-13 Pick two games for huge winnings!

The games are: 1. Carlsen-Aronian, 2. Nakamura-Kamsky.>

You still have the Round 2 pairings for Round 3's DAILY DOUBLE.

Should be 1. Carlsen-Nakamura, 2. Kamsky-Aronian I believe.

Sep-11-13  brankat: Wrong pairings again!

Chessgames Bookie: D'oh! Sorry about that. We'll have to refund all bets.

We did put up a Daily Double for round 4. I'll try to put some other propositions bets up as well.

Sep-12-13  brankat: <I'll try to put some other propositions bets up as well.>

Then You shall be forgiven :-)

OhioChessFan: It is my observation a prop bet like a Pick 3 generates many times the handle as single game bets. A lot of single game handles have very small action on them, to the point they are aren't worth the time it takes to bet on them. I have to say the fact the great majority of players are aiming to hit one big jackpot is a bit offputting. I would rather there be far fewer of the Pick 3's and see the bookie game be based more on consistent success than one big lottery win. I know I'm in a distinct minority, but this has bothered me for a long time.

SwitchingQuylthulg: Yeah, currently the Bookie game is based almost entirely on luck. It's easy to tell by the way different people come out on top every leg... oh, wait.
Sep-12-13  bubuli55: Haha. You are funny < Switch >
Sep-12-13  bubuli55: What I'd like to see would be a Pick 3 of ... 1. What opening. 2. Over/under 39 moves. 3. Last piece moved.
Sep-12-13  bubuli55: That would be like winning on pure luck. Just for fun, maybe one of that for the whole tourney :)

moronovich: One of the best things about Pick 3 is IMO that it gives the tail enders a chance to come back which almost is impossible with only wagering on single games.
