Sneaky: This is a lot like a poker tournament. The people who have small stacks know that it's now or never, and just waiting to get the opportunity to go "all in". I'm either going to finish near the top or be flat broke. There's nothing to gain from coming in 11th.

Apart from qualifying for the Winter Leg :)

looks like you missed the post about the top 12 Qualifying instead of just ten, or possibly you consider the championship a lost cause :( .

<dakgootje <centralfiles: 1.Dakgootje 13,468 This is gonna be tough...> You know - it would be much tougher for you, if you actually ever had any losing days ;D> I did lose nearly 1000 Cb over last two days :-|

Sep-11-14  posoo: Posoo JUST STARTED gumbling dis MUNF and had a MASTARFIL sinkfield to get into his position now!

Sneaky: Oh, I forgot that the top 12 are qualifiers this leg! OK cool, that makes being #16 not so far out of the money. As they say in poker, "I'm just waiting to make my move."
Sep-12-14  centralfiles: I lost my pants today :(
Sep-12-14  centralfiles: now i have extended my losses to nearly 2000 chessbucks
Sep-12-14  dakgootje: I'm sure Chnebelgrind is still mighty jealous of your net worth - given that he currently stands at -11.8k ;)

truly a dogfight, watch out for the exciting finish.

goodluck central and dakkie..

Sep-13-14  centralfiles: We seem to move up and down in tandem, though not by the same margins. Which makes sense since were both trying to take advantage of good odds. In this case betting against draws, looks like we were wrong :).
Sep-13-14  centralfiles: i have now extended my losses to a full 2500 cb
Sep-13-14  centralfiles: <In this case betting against draws, looks like we were wrong :).> see Dak's forum :)
Sep-14-14  dakgootje: A one-day loss of 2.5k is a bit irritating - but total losses of 2.5k is nothing to worry about ^^

Heh, I was busy with other stuff today, so I totally forgot to bet the 2 games :(

Sep-14-14  centralfiles: i left most of my betting for this morning but then forgot about it until after 9am so were in this together :)

Penguincw: There goes my winning streak. :(

Bilbao rd 1: Anand-Ponomariov : Draw [discard ticket] 100 LOSE 6:7 1.85 -- Sep-14-14

Bilbao rd 1: DAILY DOUBLE : Draw-Draw [discard ticket] 100 LOSE 5:4 2.23 -- Sep-14-14

Excluding today, I've been gaining ~1000 cbs over the last week (thanks to the GRENKE Classic). Now, my chances of hitting top 12 are roughly equivalent to the Blue Jays making the postseason: slim, but still worth 2 cbs. ;)
