And caruana rating

WannaBe: Bet 50 CBs & took the 'YES' on Tata Steel: Epic game? =))
Jan-07-15  centralfiles: So I guess no bet on caruana rating up or down, oh well
Jan-07-15
Premium Chessgames Member
Annie K.: Actually, I do intend to put up a Caruana rating bet, as well as a Carlsen rating bet, just didn't have time to research them yet. Still not done putting up Tata bets either. :)
Jan-07-15  centralfiles: Does epic game include group B?
Jan-08-15  dakgootje: Can't you automate the fun bet-making, by pushing your spacebar instead?

  Annie K.: <centralfiles: <Does epic game include group B?>>

Not according to the small print I included in it yesterday. ;)

In short, only the Challengers (Group B) Winner bet applies to the Challengers. All other bets refer to the Masters group only, though I may put up some bets for individual games from the Challenger group too, once we get the pairings.

Annie K.: Does anybody know what will be the next events Caruana and Carlsen will participate in after Tata? Not necessarily both in the same event - I'd just like to include one more event in the betting scope for their rating-change bets.

chancho: <Annie> Caruana is playing the Zurich Challenge in February.

I have no idea what Carlsen has planned after TATA.

Penguincw: Hey! Who ruined my odds for Van Wely winning the tournament? I was in line to win over 10K cbs, but now it's down to 6K. :(

If van Wely actually goes on to win the tournament...

WannaBe: <Penguincw> I was gonna comment on the lack of 'LOVE' for Van Wely, since (it was you) only 3 CBs was bet on him. =))

Penguincw: <WannaBe> You and I love van Wely for the same reason. :)

Chessgames Bookie: The Challengers schedule is already up: http://www.tatasteelchess.com/tourn... - the Masters not yet. Meanwhile, I'm putting up a Drawfest bet for the Challengers too, with a simpler structure. :)

Penguincw: Consequences of betting extremely early: the minimum bet changes.

Tata Steel Challengers (a.k.a Group B): First Drawfest

When I got there, it was 5 cbs, but now I'm looking at it, and it's down to 3. :|

Don't worry, I'll work around it. :)

Speaking of minimum bets, as there ever bet a minimum bet of 4? I know there's 2,3,5 and even 1, but how about other values?

Jan-08-15
Premium Chessgames Member
Annie K.: Heh... please wait until I finish typing! ;s

The minimum bets are determined automatically, probably as a function of how many options are offered. :)

Annie K.: OK... no reason not to put up some bets for the Challengers round 1. They are not exactly unknowns either! :)
Jan-09-15  centralfiles: Well if there are going to be Caruana and Carlsen ratings bets for Tata steel. I would assume the sooner the bets go up the better.

Annie K.: Can't find any fault in your logic, myself. ;p

BTW, the rating bets won't be just for Tata, but a longer period of time. Still need to try and find out if there's anything else Carlsen will be up to within the timeframe of this leg, but the bets will be up before Tata starts, anyway. :)

Annie K.: Caruana is up, but Carlsen's plans seem to be a well-guarded secret. :) Oh well - I'll put up an arbitrary March 1st for his bet target, and que sera sera. ;p

Thanks for the help <chancho>! :)

Annie K.: Thanks, WannaBe! I'll be right on it. :)

Meanwhile, I've been checking starting times. According to official site, "all rounds in Wijk aan Zee begin at 13.30 hours" (server time 07:30), except the last round which begins "at 12.00 hours" (server time 06:00). The two rounds not played in Wijk will apparently start half an hour later than the rest, server time 08:00.
