  WannaBe: If this helps: http://www.tatasteelchess.com/tourn...

You can click on each round and you will see how many hours are left before each round games start.

Jan-09-15  bulibug: My hands are itchy....where's the betting line for <So-Wojtaszek>???
Jan-10-15  wordfunph: <Annie K.> requesting for Carlsen-So tomorrow, gracias amigo :)

Penguincw: Woo hoo! I got 4 jackpots/semi-jackpots for Tata Steel Challengers (a.k.a Group B): Winner.

Annie K.: I expect there will be So bets often, when his opponents are also well known enough to generate interest in the bet. :)

Sneaky: <penguin> What do you mean? Did you get some money in on Gunina, Klein, etc? I've got a few beans riding on the Shankland / Kampen / L'Ami trio.

I've also got a 3 dollar bet on Van Wely winning group A. 1356:1 odds sounds just about right.

Penguincw: I have money riding equally on all of them. :)

Perhaps I should've used the word "opportunity", such as jackpot opportunity.

Jan-11-15  scout118: <Annie K.: I expect there will be So bets often, when his opponents are also well known enough to generate interest in the bet. :>

CG Bookie du jour, I think in this website with all his fans and with the way Wesley So is playing so far, you're guaranteed heavy betting in all of So's games - regardless of opponent.;)

Jan-11-15  bubuli55: I second that emotion.

Penguincw: Man, there haven't be many (if any) upsets this tournament. One of the reasons I deployed the method I am using is due to the unpredictably of the games (i.e. a lot of decisive games). Unfortunately, the increased time controls is creating more draws. :(

Annie K.: Sure, but in a tournament like this, with such a wealth of top players, a game with Big Names on both sides of the board will still be preferred. :)

But relax, guys. I am a So sympathizer myself, he is both a great talent and a very nice young man. No need to lobby for him. :)

I just looked at tomorrow's pairings, btw - they are <all> looking interesting, so there will be a bet for every game tomorrow (Masters group), and a Pick Three. Check back in about 3 hours!

Jan-11-15  wordfunph: I third that emotion.

  WannaBe: "Bettor" =))

Did I click on the link while the bet was being made? Because there was no description, only the drop down options.

  Annie K.: Yup. :)

WannaBe: I saw the bet listed/available in the "Open Event" section of the web page, so I clicked it.

Then I saw the page had no match-ups, only the drop down listing.

WannaBe: Also, after the rest day, round 4, can we have a player's (rolling) pick 3?

E.g. What will be Hou's results for rounds 5, 6, 7?

W-W-W, W-W-D, W-W-L, etc

Jan-11-15

Penguincw: Can I also recommend live betting for future rounds? :D

Annie K.: <Penguincw> Somehow, I don't think my boss would like that..! ;p

<WannaBe> that's an interesting idea, I'll consider it. :)

WannaBe: I just picked these two as an example:

Pairings for rounds 5, 6, 7 Wesley & Mag:

So-Hou
Jobava-So
So-Radjabov

Carlsen-Aronian
Caruana-Carlsen
Carlsen-Hou

Depending on the standing after round 10 Wednesday, (Thursday is a rest day) Rounds 11, 12, 13 (Fri/Sat/Sun) can be very interesting to offer this (rolling) pick-3 of the leader board.

Especially if Wesley and/or Mag is leading or within striking distance.

Sneaky: Tata Steel Round 3: Ivanchuk, V. - Van Wely, L. ... the betters seem to think it's a sure draw, but I tell you now, that game could go any which way the wind blows.
Jan-12-15  scout118: <Annie K.: <Penguincw> Somehow, I don't think my boss would like that..! ;p>

I recall this was done by switch &/or wordfunph. Live betting in the first hour of a game. Should be fun with Jobava or Van Wely games where anything can happen.

Chessgames Bookie: We came very close to settling the Epic Game bet today! Great round. :)
Jan-12-15  centralfiles: Maybe we can have an "in play" Tournament winner bet after round 4.
