Chessgames Bookie: Just get betting! ;p

Memo - coming up soon: http://www.grenkechessclassic.de/en...

Jan-26-15  Beholder: <Will any game last 100 moves or longer? The YES ticket will pay if White makes his (or her) 100th move in any game. If this does not happen, the NO ticket pays. (This wager refers only to the Masters tournament)>

Does this apply to the whole tournament or just the first round? Seems unclear from the description.

Annie K.: Bets that apply to a particular round always have the round number in the title.
Jan-26-15  bubuli55: Does anybody know the ELO of Wei Yi after Tara? I can't find it. Thank you in advance.

Sneaky: I always find myself always betting on the underdogs to win a tournament, because the odds are so good. And by "underdogs" I mean, anybody who is not Magnus Carlsen. So I'll have 500 on Aronian, 500 on Caruana, even a few shekels on Ivanchuk. 75:1 odds on Chuky? That sounds pretty good to me!

But during the tournament I find myself betting on Carlsen anyhow. So I make money during the tournament and then give it back when it's over. Now I'm back with the same balance I started with.

WannaBe: 10-round Swiss for the top section, so I'd guess/wager round 7 or 8. And have bett'd accordingly. =)

Annie K.: Round 1 pairings are up: http://chess-results.com/tnr158561.... but they are so one-sided at the top, I'm not sure there's any point in putting up individual bets for this round; the Upset bet pretty much covers the only question. :s

Annie K.: Thanks. :) Hmm... maybe things are desperate enough for a couple of first move bets? ;)

It could be more desperate:

1-0, 1.e4 ending in an odd # of moves
1-0, 1.e4 ending in an even # of moves
1-0, 1.d4 ending in an even # of moves
1-0, 1.d4 ending in an odd # of moves
OTHER

For purposes of this bet, if the game begins with 1.e4 and ends with 28.Kxf4 1-0, then the "1-0, 1.e4 ending in an even # of moves" ticket would win.

Looks like luck to me. :p

Not quite the lowest though...
