Jun-23-15  MarkFinan: I had a small wager on c4. If today's games end as they look like they will (I already got the Carlsen and Anand games winning betting slips) I could go stratospheric, right up there with Darth Chnebly. Lol.

<SETTLEMENT DATE: Jun-23-15

Jun-23-15  MarkFinan: Go <Fiddy> it's your birfday, we're gonna party like it's your birfday 🎵🎵🎵 Lol.

If Maxwell's silver Hammer throws a win, into a draw, before losing.. I still win.

Go Spanner.

Go Nakamura. (heavy wager on the heaviest chess player)

FSR: 5:1? That's insane. I figured he'd play either that or 1.d4. Unfortunately I bet on the latter. Now I'm waiting for Hammer and Giri to draw - and in fewer than 100 moves.

Penguincw: Yes, just what the doctor ordered! An all draw round (and a short round too). I gained 191 cbs, so I'm still in it. After this, there's also Dortmund coming up, so I'm not out yet!
Jun-23-15  MarkFinan: I'm not just hit after that round of draws (That Hammer's the worst person I've ever had to bet on!), I'm down. When 10th has around 5000 cb's I could be into the dreaded 4??? club.

I know that Hammer's gonna lose the next round. And that's why he'll win. He's a slippery fox is old Hammer, you could bet £100 you'd be able to enter a revolving door with him following you, and he'd still come out first.. You can't win with Mr von Hamner.

Jun-23-15  MarkFinan: <<FSR: What the hell? Apparently Hammer, instead of agreeing to a draw in his slightly better rook ending against Giri, decided to flag on move 61>>

As reality show contestant and Welsh football groupie once said to Peaches Geldoff on twitter upon hearing of Peaches's (!?) death.... Is. This. True???

Penguincw: Say, what's the result of Hammer-Giri? I see chess24 listing it as a draw (and same goes to 2700chess), but chessdom says 0-1. I see Bookie is making the smart move to wait.
Jun-23-15  MarkFinan: The bookies ripped me off ‼‼‼‼ Where's my money?? If Frederick says that 🔨 ⛳ ed, then where's the 💰?

FSR: <Penguincw> Now chessdom is also showing 1/2.

FSR: <MarkFinan> No. The ChessDom site had it wrong. I am most relieved.

FSR: <Chessgames Bookie> At ChessBookie Game my Net Worth displays as 4,070 chessbucks. However, at ChessBookie Standings it's shown as 3,492. Why the discrepancy? And which is correct?

  FSR: <Penguincw> Ah, OK, thanks.
Jun-24-15  MarkFinan: All 🔨 had to do was win or lose and he couldn't even manage that. So after the knight of the long draws I've just gone for it, I'm perilously close to falling out of THE TOP10LIST!!!!
Jun-24-15  MarkFinan: I put 1000 on Anand to beat Von hammer today. It had to be done, I can hear footsteps from 9th but it'll probably backfire because I was arguing with the Indian guy from the Rogoff page.

hahaha :)

well well well this idiot <markfinan> just went and lost his chessbucks hahaha :)

<markfinan> the idiot :)

etc etc etc, lol.

Jun-24-15  centralfiles: If aronian doesn't draw I'll be going home in a barrel...
Jun-24-15  centralfiles: :(
I guess this happens when you have 5000+ cbs on every round easy come easy go.

Penguincw: This is just <not> fair! Having a Bookie like <Switch> run a leg that contains the hardest tournament to predict ever*.

Correction: 2nd hardest tournament, with the hardest ever being Sinquefield, which <Switch> <ALSO> ran. :|

I swear, Nakamura had a win, but he drew the game. I should've known 6:1 was too good to be true.

Penguincw: As the <Bookie> might say, "I'm only putting up the bets; no one is forcing you to bet anything".

Anyway, I used a strategy that brought me success <3.5> years ago at LCC 11, but it doesn't work here, as I'll lose 275 cbs if Giri wins, and only 63 if it's a draw. If Giri slips and Topalov wins, I'll drop 279. :|

WannaBe: Norway Chess rd 9: BEN'S EARLY CHECK SPECIAL

The earliest check have occurred between Carlsen/Giri on move 3. Bb5+ which I think is called Ross Il-Limo Attack.

Chessgames Bookie: <moronovich> As noted in the <ANNOUNCEMENTS> section:

<The Spring Leg will end in early July, with the top 10 qualifying for the next Championship Leg.>

The exact date will be posted in a week or so; most likely it will be July 5 (end of Dortmund).

FSR: Does an early check count double if it's a checkmate, as in, e.g., Rapport-WhatsHisFace?
