Sep-12-15  sydbarrett: I bet heavily on the wrong side of upset special again. Ding liren just agreed to 17 move draw. How awkward. I forgot that the ones who won match 1 only needed a draw to move on. :/
Sep-12-15  sydbarrett: (But it makes no sense for his opponent to agree to early draw. Opponent didn't want to play an actual game and try to win and go to round 2? Very odd)
Sep-12-15  MarkFinan: That D-W-D ticket is going to pay.
Sep-12-15  sydbarrett: I fell asleep for a bit and dreamed I was at a gaming tournament. I won a game and had to talk to Caruana who was one of the judges. When I spoke to him I noticed I was a bit shy even though he was younger than me because I was a fan and he is a great chessplayer. Haha I had a dream about chess. First time
Sep-12-15  sydbarrett: I'm falling behind lately... but when Karjakin wins the Cup, 9000 I shall collect!
Sep-12-15  pitapino: Speaking of that, a 1,500 Grischuk bomb-drop with just hours left, by an unknown party has derailed my hope for a 'cheap' top 10 finish. I always enjoyed the final day bomb-drops but not this time. Whomever that was - good luck with your pick.
Sep-12-15  sydbarrett: I own nearly 50% of all Karjakin shares. It was no "cheap" "bombdrop" either; I acquired them 7 days from the final trading day. Since you guys severely (and shamefully) underrated Master Carjackin, you only have yourselves to blame when the magical bells sound and I collect all those lustrious gold coins
Sep-12-15  sydbarrett: This is just my first (learning) season, ChannelBelleGrand. And I learn fast. You and your lackey Quaghog should not get too comfy. If not this season, I WILL take you down next season. That is a PROMISE
Sep-13-15  MarkFinan: Is there a reason why the betting is closing early <again>?? It's pointless re opening them now, but I keep checking on the bets to see if they've paid off yet and they don't even start until tomorrow. The betting should stay open <until> the games begin, not a day early. This is the 3rd time!

Care to elaborate? Using <cg> time, the first tiebreak games start at 6:00, so I set the bets to close about 3 minutes and 16 seconds before that (don't ask). Is there any bet that shouldn't have closed until some of the tiebreak games are done?

FSR: Kovalyov and Motylev both drew the first blitz game, then won the second to advance.

FSR: <Penguincw> Woops. Sorry, wasn't trying to rig things in my favor.
Sep-14-15  MarkFinan: I'll bet the 2 sith lords have 25000 + after today's games. You watch.

Penguincw: I see the World Cup Rd 2: Compatriot Battle bet is really popular.

I guess these types of bets, where you have a good chance of winning money (even if it's really small) are really popular.

BTW: If you guys haven't figured it out, no bets will be settled today (well, maybe some).

Catch you guys later!

Sep-14-15  MarkFinan: It's popular because you can't possibly lose. Or at least that's the way I see it.
Sep-14-15  rogge: Hilarious :)
Sep-14-15  MarkFinan: Am I right, Rogge?
Sep-14-15  rogge: Of course you're right, <Mark>. Who needs a job with odds like that :)
Sep-14-15  MarkFinan: Well I think we should have this kinda wager every round. Even things up a bit. Lol
Sep-14-15  rogge: I blame Nuno ;)
Sep-14-15  MarkFinan: Me too! Haha. He probably hacked chessgames dot com and that's why I can't login at certain times and I'm losing here at the bookies. I'll run with that, I'm starting a #BlameNuno campaign. Lool
Sep-14-15  rogge: He he, count me in :)
