| Oct-01-15 | | MarkFinan: <FSR: For "Select All That Apply" there is no bet that encompasses the possibility that none of the first four games will be drawn.> Has losing 7k give you a sore butt, Frederick? Bit ratty, we are. Lol 😂 |

 | | Penguincw: < pitapino: This 'LIVE' bet is pretty ridiculous and also not fair. Not everyone can watch to see if they can recoup something from what may have been a poor betting choice the night before. This bet should be permanently retired. > I don't think it's ridiculous or unfair. Considering there are live bets from tournaments all over the globe throughout the leg, I think it balances out in the end. Of course, a big part of the ChessBookie game is being able to be on near closing time, assuming you depend on odds to make your betting choices. The time zone for this tournament is slightly bad though, as I'm not sure if I can have it over the weekend. A big part of live bets is the bookie being able to be online at the time of closing. |

 | | FSR: <MarkFinan> I don't think that pointing out that a bet is flawed makes me "a bit ratty." But if I'm "a bit ratty" at having fallen to 5th place with C$5,729, I can only imagine how you feel being ranked 225th with C$345. You poor thing. |
| Oct-02-15 | | sydbarrett: I can't wait to wake up in 5 hours and laugh as Karjakin teaches a morning class on that old man's butt :D He has 3 games to do it, no pressure. |
| Oct-02-15 | | MarkFinan: <I can only imagine how you feel being ranked 225th with C$345. You poor thing> I can only imagine having <not> qualified already and hovering around the 5k mark as others put together a late run. Can you feel the breath on your neck, Frederick?? Worried I might put a late run together, worried because I've got 9k that I saved up put on today's games, I know you're stressed out, Fred. Close, it will be. |

 | | FSR: 37...Kh8! and wins. |
Oct-02-15
 | | FSR: You gotta feel for Syd and the others who've staked everything on a Karjakin victory. |
Oct-02-15
 | | FSR: Some lucky (and foresighted) soul managed to plonk down C$2 on "White-Black-Draw" before chessgames.com crashed the other night. There are no bets on a decisive result in the third game, although I doubt that'll happen. |

World Cup R7,G2: Karjakin - Svidler
Svidler
LIVE BET 1270c$
[info] >
I think the phrase you're looking for rhymes with "Clucking bell", Frederico. 😂 |
Oct-02-15
 | | FSR: <MF> I bet on Svidler to win game 2 too. What's your point? |
| Oct-02-15 | | MarkFinan: I'm obviously better than you. Your powers are weak old man, Syd-B will become more powerful than both of us! - Emperor Palpatine. How much did you win then, Princess? |
| Oct-02-15 | | pitapino: <Bookie/Penguin> How does Finan get to place a 1,270 bet with under a 500 net? My maximum bet is 1,000 with a 2,900 net. Please explain this.. |
| Oct-02-15 | | MarkFinan: Sore loser, lol. You have to be in massive debt (10k plus) for the "privileges" I get. |
Oct-02-15
 | | Annie K.: <Mark> your privileges are more in the 'getting loans from Sharkie' department. ;) As I recall, the betting cap is some combination of net worth and/or activity level - if you're more active in placing bets throughout the leg, you'll earn a higher betting cap, even if your net worth is low. |
| Oct-02-15 | | pitapino: <Sore loser, lol.> Maybe I am. But I'm also a leg winner. Good luck trying to win one. |
Oct-02-15
 | | FSR: If Svidler wins or draws the next game, he will have won the World Cup without loss of a game. |
Oct-02-15
 | | Penguincw: Oh no, Svidler wins G2, and you know what that means: <tomorrow could be the last day of the Summer 2015 leg>. Unfortunately, I was going to use that day to search for any underpromotions. < FSR: Some lucky (and foresighted) soul managed to plonk down C$2 on "White-Black-Draw" before chessgames.com crashed the other night. There are no bets on a decisive result in the third game, although I doubt that'll happen. > Oh no, please the game be drawn tomorrow. If either side wins, that means for the <first time in ChessBookie history>, there will be multi-payoffs on a P3, which is just a <great> way to end the leg. < pitapino: <Bookie/Penguin> How does Finan get to place a 1,270 bet with under a 500 net? My maximum bet is 1,000 with a 2,900 net. Please explain this.. > It's hard to explain, but your max. bet depends on your net worth <and> "credit rating". Your credit rating increases everytime you make a bet (win or lose) and everytime you take out a loan and the Loanshark charges interest (if you just take a loan and pay it back without interest, it doesn't count) Mark must have a higher credit rating than you (be it due to interest or simply making more and/or larger bets), so his max. bet is higher. |

 | | Penguincw: <syd> and al., here's Money Printer II. World Cup R7,G3: Svidler - Karjakin Short Draw |
| Oct-02-15 | | pitapino: So basically you can spend a month in the cellar and still get 5000 from the shark while someone in the top 20 can only get 1500? Brilliant. |
Oct-02-15
 | | Penguincw: < pitapino: So basically you can spend a month in the cellar and still get 5000 from the shark while someone in the top 20 can only get 1500? Brilliant. > Not sure how someone in the cellar can get 5K for Loanshark. But if you're talking about making large bets, then yes. Since he's presumably been making many large bets (but losing), the system will reward him by expanding his max. bet. |
Oct-02-15
 | | Sneaky: I had negative net worth a few days ago and now I'm a high roller, 1000 chessbuck bets, fingers crossed, you can't count me out yet! I'm not even sure what the heck I bet on. A Karjakin comeback? Center of the board? Whatever, I just want the action!!! |
Oct-02-15
 | | Penguincw: < (10) MarkFinan 3,481 > Good job <Mark>, you're now on the leaderboard! Reminder guys that tomorrow could be the <last day of the leg>. Plan accordingly! |
| Oct-02-15 | | MarkFinan: <Penguincw: < (10) MarkFinan 3,481 >
Good job <Mark>, you're now on the leaderboard!> Twas always the plan. Tomorrow I'll humiliate Frederick and his "I can beat Carlsen at knight odds" attitude into a stinking pile of Goldsby, just to prove I'm his daddy! He's going back to the Dagobah system with his boring female mentor "Yodalin". I'm Fred's big black metal daddy, lol 😂. |
| Oct-02-15 | | pitapino: Thanks for all your replies <Penguin> and congrats on a great job. |
Oct-02-15
 | | FSR: Congratulations on getting back into the top 10, Mark. But don't get <too> excited; I'm still ahead of you. |
