| Jun-27-06 | | TIMER: <WannaBe>, <harifan> Well, how come I dropped to a thousand yesterday then? One day is enough, now back to the top... |
Jun-27-06
 | | WannaBe: <TIMER> You must had a small run of bad luck. =) I've already squandered all my chess bucks... =( |

 | | Open Defence: <Wannabe> with your gambling tendencies I am surprised you lasted in Vegas hehehehehe |
Jun-27-06
 | | WannaBe: <Open Defence> It's quite diff. when it's your own cash!! =) |
| Jun-27-06 | | Kreifi: How leaders have so much networth? The leg just started. o.o |
| Jun-27-06 | | suenteus po 147: <Kreifi> Because of high risk/high yield bets from things like the Daily Double. The odds are so skewed that if you put 500 or 1000 down and you're right you can make almost ten times back. But you have to be right :) |
| Jun-28-06 | | percyblakeney: I've never won anything on high odds bets, I think it's hard to predict more than one game. The Daily Double has given odds of 2.67, 4.44 and 11.69, and if I had put 500 on the last one the odds would be down to 7 something. But it wasn't easy to guess that Pono would take his first win (with black) and then combine it with another correct prediction. If I made such bets I think I would soon be down to 0, but I have a feeling I still will be that soon... |
| Jun-28-06 | | percyblakeney: Wow, surprising to see the huge betting on the Rublevsky/Shirov combination on the Daily Double today. The odds is much better on one single of the players winning their game... The only thing I'm certain about today is that Rublevsky isn't even interested in winning, he wants a draw to win the tournament and will take it at the first possible occasion. |

 | | Sneaky: TIMER has over 13K now!! Man, if I was on the top of the list I would stop gambling and just sit on my stack and sneer at all the people underneath me. TIMER just won't slow down. |
Jun-29-06
 | | offramp: Tom Waits. |
| Jun-29-06 | | percyblakeney: If Tiviakov draws and Sokolov wins it will be a blitz tiebreak. In a "normal" tournament I'd be sure that Tiviakov would be happy to take a quick draw with black to ensure at least shared first. As it is now I've no idea what will happen and won't bet anything... |

| Jun-29-06 | | chessmind: woohoe
Tiviakov won.
L'ami somehow blundered his queen, at first glance.
winning (with a point instead of 1/2) against both timman and van wely deserves a title. |

(bummer they've all already ended.) |
| Jun-29-06 | | chessmind: Will we be able to bet on any of these events?
http://www.chess-calendar.nl/
for example on the XIV International Chess Festival / Emanuel Lasker memorial. |
| Jun-29-06 | | percyblakeney: The Lasker Memorial seems to have been played already. Biel is the next thing I look forward too, not many weeks left and with among others Moro, Radjabov, and Carlsen: http://www.bielchessfestival.ch/gra... |
