Chessgames Bookie: In regards to the 'Longest Game?' bet I came up with a list with the longest games by round. I have always found such lists to be helpful when making choices in the Bookie game.

Longest games by Round:

Rd.1) Dzagnidze - Krush 69 moves 0-1
Rd.2) Krush - Gunina 68 moves ½-½
Rd.3) Dzagnidze - Sebag 70 moves 1-0
Rd.4) Krush - Zatonskih 59 moves 1-0
Rd.5) Kosteniuk - Khotenashvili 54 moves 1-0
Rd.6) Gunina - Paehtz 88 moves 1-0
Rd.7) Paehtz - Sebag 57 moves ½-½
Rd.8) Dzagnidze - Kosteniuk 68 moves ½-½

Chessgames Bookie: I see the betting is a little heavier this final 9th round. I can sense a Leaderboard shake up is in the making.

Chessgames Bookie: <Dr Winston OBoogie: Is this the last round of the championship leg?>

No <DWOB>. We still have 3 tournaments to go before the Chmp. Leg is over. This is only the last round of the Cairns Cup tournament.

Still to come:

Aeroflot Open (Feb. 19th-27th)
Prague Chess Festival 2019 - Master Tournament (March 6th-16th)
The USA Championship 2019 (March 20th-April 1st)

Feb-15-19  Dr Winston OBoogie: Hi bookie. Thank you for your reply. I've still got time then :)

Chessgames Bookie: Sometime today the pairings for Aeroflot should be posted. I will see what they look like before posting any bets. As I have mentioned previously, when Gibraltar was going on(Jan. 20th), the pairings in the early rounds of Opens are usually a huge mismatch. So I may not post a lot of bets for the first few rounds. We'll see what we can do. A little Bookie magic might be needed.

martin moller: Hi Chess Bookie - First of all thank you very much for the fun bookie game which i have played for many years :-) I do however miss some kind of price for the participants who end rock bottom ;-) Because as hard as it is to be the winner, it is not as easy as one might think to end rock bottom (maybe even a hall of fame for the participant with the largest minus).
Feb-18-19  Count Wedgemore: <martin moller: maybe even a hall of fame for the participant with the largest minus).>

You mean hall of shame? :)

Let's not get carried away. :) You play this game long enough you will at some time or other find the basement. I know because I've been there myself a few times. Even the best players here end up there on occasion. And besides, it really isn't that hard to do. ;)

martin moller: <Count Wedgemore> <hall of shame> Please your highness! I don´t think it´s a shame, I think it´s fun. Was just thinking there were more to Chess Bookie than to win ! <Chessgames Bookie> Thank you for the answer, and Many Thanks for the fun game, I will redobbel my efforts trying to finish LAST :-) Will you please concider letting Loanshark lending 200 CB instead of 100 as minimum ? :-) :-)

moronovich: If it wasn´t because of players like Martin, the loanshark would be unemployed.

A horrible thought.
Hats of for Martin !

Feb-18-19  morfishine: <Chessgames Bookie> I guess you could load up with 1st move, long castle, over/under, daily double or pick three bets and not even have to post an individual wager. Let exotics be the rule of the day!

Chessgames Bookie: No pairings for Aeroflot as of 1:40pm EST. Should be soon I would think.
