Chessgames Bookie: Unbelievable! Everyone was evacuated from the Aeroflot playing hall. I'm not sure if it was a 'fire drill' or what. If there was a reason given the broadcast is in Russian & my Russian is not very good.

Chessgames Bookie: Looks like we will have to replay Round 1. I will refund all original bets & we will try this again. Sorry for the inconvenience folks. It appears they have kept the original pairings. That's a good thing.

Chessgames Bookie: The only bet I am leaving up in tact is the 'Aeroflot Open A section 2019: Pick the Winner!' That was in no way affected by today's emergency cancellation of Round 1.

Chessgames Bookie: I will be putting up the same bets for tomorrow as I had today.
Feb-19-19  Count Wedgemore: <whiteshark> In this context, round is a better word for the Russian word "Typ"..

Chessgames Bookie: Ok, Deja Vu! One more time.
Feb-19-19  morfishine: NP <Chessgames Bookie> No matter how fun the bookie game is, it is in the end, a game

That is unless you are <Count Wedgemore> where every round is hand-to-hand combat with no quarter given

Me, I'll sit by the BarBQ, tip a beer or two and just relax

Feb-19-19  Count Wedgemore: <That is unless you are <Count Wedgemore> where every round is hand-to-hand combat with no quarter given>

For me, the Chessbookie Game is not a matter of life and death.

It is much more serious than that :)

Feb-19-19  wordfunph: waiting (again huh!) for those juicy Pick3 2k bets.

eternaloptimist: <Penguin> That was me!!! Indeed I dumped off 10K c$ on it & that was my 1st bet of this Championship Leg. It definitely payed off too!!
