| Aug-06-06 | | DCP23: There's also a Svidler-Aronian match for the World Championship in Chess960 aka Fisherandom. |
| Aug-06-06 | | percyblakeney: ...and the so called rapid chess world championship match between Anand and Radjabov. |
| Aug-06-06 | | xeneizexxx: <chessgames Bookie> The chessbucks you borrowed from the loanshark has to be paid in the same leg tourney? Or your debts, as well as your account, is wiped clean between tourneys? |
Aug-06-06
 | | Sneaky: <xeneizexxx> They wipe everything clean between tourneys. We all get to run up a huge debt with that fat guy, then skip town on him. Quite fun! By the way, does his chess set double as brass knuckles? |
| Aug-07-06 | | WarmasterKron: <soughzin> I did. It was a rather profitable Dortmund for me, as I collected nearly 1000 chessbucks in winnings, having bet on Adams over Aronian, Svidler to win and 1.d4 for Kramnik-Leko. |
| Aug-07-06 | | Holden: Phew! I made it to 5000 again. I did this betting on Kamsky last leg only to end up in the negative within a week. Maybe I should stop betting now. |

 | | Chessgames Bookie: Betting is open for the 2006 British Championship. Please note that the first round will be finished before the betting closes, so the prudent bettor will wait to see first round results before taking a position. We also have opened betting for the Leko-Karpov rapid match to be played at the end of this month. Leko vs Karpov Rapid Match: Winner. This event is still a few weeks away, so be warned that if you tie all your money up in a wager on this event you'll have to wait a long time before you can continue betting. |
Aug-07-06
 | | Sneaky: Leko vs Karpov is a head scratcher. Leko's going to be the favorite, and he should be. After all it's rapid chess and Leko has youth on his side. But it wasn't log ago when Karpov whooped Kasparov in New York City at rapid chess!! If he can beat Garry, he can beat Peter. |

Aug-07-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: You can now bet on Lichthof Chess Champions: Winner. More information can be found here: http://150.credit-suisse.com/app/ar... |
| Aug-09-06 | | cavaleiro: Will there be bets on the british championship's games? Make them, please, Mr. Bookie! |
| Aug-09-06 | | chessmind: Some cheater must have been 'arrested'.
There was 2k on Mark Hebden in the British Championship. A mystery.
| Aug-09-06 | | cavaleiro: <chessmind> Some cheater must have been 'arrested'. For me that's great, as long as Hebden wins the title... I bet 440 on him! But now the Rowson is paying very little, which is bad for me... Well, now I am supporting Hebden, Nicholas and Richard Pert and Gormally. |
Aug-09-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: Betting is open on the top board game of the fourth round of the British Championship. British Championship Rd 4: Ward vs Hebden |
Aug-12-06

The event also features an Anand - Radjabov rapid match! And two Man vs Machine matches! -- Radjabov vs Shredder in classical chess and Svidler vs Spike in chess960. It would be great to have betting on all these events. |

| Aug-17-06 | | cavaleiro: Howell - Timman: 1/2-1/2
Visser - Adams: 0-1
So, do the payments, please, Mr. Chessgames Bookie!

Aug-17-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <cavaleiro> The tournament website does not have the result of the Visser-Adams game yet. What is the source of your imformation? |
| Aug-17-06 | | cavaleiro: <Chessgames Bookie> It's the official site. They put the correct result for a wrong match on the 3rd round results page: Levitt-Sokolov was played in the 2nd round. But if you check the games (link in the main menu > Playthroughs > Round 3 play all the games online), you will see that Adams actually beat Visser. |
Aug-17-06
 | | Chessgames Bookie: <cavaleiro> Thanks, winning tickets have been paid off. |
| Aug-18-06 | | NakoSonorense: I'll bet 1,000 that Arnold will beat the world. |
| Aug-18-06 | | chessmoron: Arnold Schwarzenegger? Just kidding <Nako>. It's Arno. |
