May-01-07  refutor: big odds for aronian win/draw.
May-05-07  TrueBlue: good call refutor!
May-05-07  Tactic101: THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!! Aronian won BOTH games against Kramnik today. He only needs a draw to clinch the match. I'm gonna lose 200 bucks from this. Alright, admit it. Who betted on Kramnik?
May-06-07  Archives: Hey bookie, I don't suppose you can pay off the winning tickets from the past two games within the next 3 hours. Because all my money was riding on game 3 and I cannot bet on todays games until I collect off it.

SwitchingQuylthulg: You're not alone... I won 1000 or so bucks yesterday but can't collect them which means that at the moment I have full 2 bucks at my disposal...
May-06-07  Archives: Ah well, I managed to scavenge another 100 loan off of the bookie, which puts my total loan up at 3k.

Still nowhere near as big as my student loan, which is currently sitting at a nice 30k.

May-06-07  TrueBlue: Of course Kramnik can't play rapid games, no time for "bathroom" breaks! I wouldn't put a cent on Krmanik if he doesn't have his own "wired" bathroom.

chancho: <Of course Kramnik can't play rapid games, no time for "bathroom" breaks!>

He was good enough to beat a very high rated player last year at Elista if I recall.

May-06-07  protean: <Chessgames Bookie> Were you in "A Clockwork Orange"?
May-07-07  Tactic101: <TrueBlue> And yet he very convincingly defeated Leko? No time for bathroom breaks, yeah right.
May-08-07  shutupimthinking: <Chessgames Bookie> Would be possible to have links to the players' pages (and perhaps the tournament, where possible) on the betting page? It would make it easier for punters to examine the players' form without having to go back and search individually.

May-09-07  Big Rab: Does anyone know why the bets on the yuri v the world havent been settled yet
May-09-07  protean: <Big Rab> The Bookie is too busy committing acts of gratuitious violence in a dystopian future.

The bit in your bio about your middle child made me laugh. :-)

  WannaBe: Round 3 Handicapper!!

Adams - Nisipeanu: They have never played each other!

Mamedyarov - Topalov: Topalov have a lead of +2 -1 =1, Shakhriyar likes to play 1. d4 with white and have lost once and won once as white.

Kamsky - Sasikiran: Never faced each other!

May-11-07  percyblakeney: I hadn't planned to bet on Topalov against Adams, but when the odds was 3 times the money less than an hour before the games I fell for the temptation... Topalov, with white, in Sofia, against a #10 thinking about the Candidates matches. And still a much higher odds than Kamsky had to win with black against Mamedyarov. Until I bet my 500, that is. Luckily I bet even more on draw in Nisipeanu-Kamsky :-)

WannaBe: <Chessgames Bookie> Please settle today's bets, so I can 're-invest' my bucks for tomorrow's games.
May-12-07  percyblakeney: Among today's odds, Adams giving more than 3.50 to win with white against Nisipeanu looks quite good.
