<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

OhioChessFan: I need to get the Hall of Fame completed. Do you have a list of previous tournaments?
Jun-21-11  chessmoron: It has been on my profile for a while. :D
Jun-21-11  Robin01: <chessmoron>Thanks for running the contest. And thanks to <OhioChessFan> for the use of his forum.
Jun-21-11  wordfunph: thanks <chessmoron> and <OCF>..
Jun-21-11  Golden Executive: This was my first time at this prediction contest and I really enjoyed.

Congratulations to all the winners and thank you very much to <OhioChessFan> and <chessmoron>.

It´s amazing that the winner strategy
was <SwitchingQuylthulg>´s prediction at only one post (Jun-10): 29 draws at move 31 and 1 draw at move 32!

Jun-21-11  WinKing: Thanks for the invite <OCF> I enjoy playing in your Prediction Contests. A big thank you to <chessmoron> whom without his hard work we would all be scratching our heads trying to figure out who is winning this thing. Also 'congrats' to all the winners! :)
Jun-23-11  PinnedPiece: <chessmoron> and <OCF> thanks for the entertainment. I have firmly established my role now as one of the bottom feeders that highlights the brilliance of the lucky ones at the top! Congratulations to

jessicafischerqueen: <Ohio> in case you hadn't noticed this- isn't this kind of what you were requesting a while ago? A forum to argue about religion, like the Rogoff Page?

I think you may even have suggested the <Pope> page. Does that exist? I'm too lazy to check.

At any rate, *this* forum exists:

jessicafischerqueen: <Ohio> I'm with you on that, at least in spirit, despite having recently bought the most powerful laptop in Christendom.

I resent having to learn "new systems" on my technology.

I've been refusing the "free upgrade" available on my cell phone because it's been five years and I still don't know how to use the one I already own properly.

I don't think there's anything wrong with dinosaurs, either.

jessicafischerqueen: I did see that the <Naka-Gold> page is also currently a religious discussion board.

However, I don't think that will become a permanent base for it.

I predict the topic will change sooner rather than later.

To what, however, I couldn't possibly say.

I will say that it's become a place where many people go.

A little like "behind the 7-11" when we were teenagers.

Jun-28-11  Helloween: One cannot make themselves lost any more than they can make themselves saved. The doctrine that one could lose their salvation then puts it back in mankind's hands, and makes it faith+works soteriology, a.k.a. a mockery of Christ's work on the cross and resurrection. John 10:

27"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall <any man> pluck them out of my hand."

Any man - including oneself.
God doesn't take back his gifts.

OhioChessFan: <Hello: One cannot make themselves lost any more than they can make themselves saved. >

A person can do both.

<The doctrine that one could lose their salvation then puts it back in mankind's hands, and makes it faith+works soteriology, a.k.a. a mockery of Christ's work on the cross and resurrection. >

It is partly in man's hands.

<John 10:27 "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall <any man> pluck them out of my hand.">

Any man - including oneself. >

I disagree. Does "pluck out" sound like something one would do to oneself? I won't bother with a Greek lesson on it, but the context itself tells you Jesus is referencing outside forces.

<God doesn't take back his gifts.>

Of course He does. In any case, people can and do give back gifts all the time. It doesn't escape my notice you made zero effort to reconcile Hebrews 3;12 with your position. I stand by that verse being absolute stone cold proof your position is wrong.

Jun-28-11  Helloween: One could say our evil heart, one of temporary unbelief, is at the bottom of all our sinful departures from God; all of which representing a distrust and departure from God.

Every time a Christian sins, they don't need to crucify Christ again and get saved again.

My "position" is one of soteriology, not a minor doctrinal issue. Either your trust is in Jesus for your salvation or it's in Jesus+yourself, a.k.a. the same soteriology as all other religions, a.k.a. the path to Hell.

Thank God for His free, unspeakable Gift! God bless.
