<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

Jul-22-17  WinKing: <OhioChessFan: I can't believe What I saw today. Wojtaszek especially.>

I needed a Wojtaszek win in the ChessBookie game <OCF>. He cost me a few chessbucks today. Looked like he was gaining momentum but threw any chance he had away with 34...a5?. C'est la vie.

OhioChessFan: I sort of know chess is hard, but a5 was a fundamental mistake. Right out of a textbook.

Well, many thanks to Vachier-Lagrave and Wojtaszek for missing the winning moves.:)

Jul-22-17  WinKing: Arrived at Salt Fork State Park today. It is Ohio's largest state park with over 17,000 acres. Voted one of the 10 Squatchiest places in the U.S.A.. I'm not a big believer in Sasquatch/Bigfoot(called the 'Grassman' in Ohio) but if they do exist this would be the place for them. The park is beautiful in the daytime but gets a little creepy at night. Lots of twigs & branches cracking all around our campsite. You can't see 2 feet in front of your face when it gets dark here & you do get the feeling you are being watched.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 6 Recap **

<OhioChessFan> was pleased to hear <WinKing> had visited the largest state prison in the great state of Ohio today. When interviewed for local television, <WinKing> expressed his surprise that the most common question he's been asked in his prison tour was not "Want to play some correspondence?", but instead was, "How's your sister?".

On to more important matters, as <Penguincw> had a yuge round to move into the lead in 2 Rankers. <amw> continues to lead the other 2. <OhioChessFan> leads none, and is still stomping around, whining about the inability of Grandmasters to win a game the average SpaceBar Master would win in their sleep.

Who will step up in the last round? Five contestants are within 6 points in Moves Ranker. Four contestants are within 12 points in Bonus Ranker. Five contestants are within 2 in the #1 Ranker. Can someone hit a big round and sweep the contest? Will we divide the four gold medals among four different people? Is <WinKing> smart enough to know you don't mess with Sasquatch? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other probing questions. Hang on to your hats as we approach the finish line....
