<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

SwitchingQuylthulg: Congratulations to the Dortmund winners and medalists!

I need to get missing rounds out of my system. Nearly missed Biel round 2 too.

OhioChessFan: The contestants are staggering through another tough tournament to the great delight of the fans in attendance. We got off to a reasonable start, and to nobody's surprise, <WinKing> had the best round. <juan31> and <OhioChessFan> were the only two contestants not to score, in a pretty good overall round. In other news, <GE> boycotted Dortmund's medal ceremony in a misplaced sense of fairness. The other contestants were shocked to see him not take a gold medal. "So what if they messed up and gave him one. Take it!" and "Get it while the gettin's good" were the most commonly heard comments on the matter. <Switch> decided to get his typical missed round out of the way early this time, as he decided to show off and miss round 1. Inexplicably, <offramp> was pleading with <DerDiemer> to enter this contest, although some people suspect <offramp> misunderstood what <DD> stood for.

There's no rest for the weary as we labor on. Only 9 rounds to go in our thrilling contest.

  OhioChessFan: ** Round 2 Recap **

It was a big round for <Switch> who is making a strong move after almost oversleeping the whole contest. He moved into a tie with <Winky> for the Moves and #1 Rankers. <Winky> also leads the Bonus+Moves Ranker, while <CountWedgemore> quietly slipped into the lead in Bonus Ranker.

In other news, the contestants are begging <OCF> to shut up about the Carlsen win that he was too cowardly to pick and is now moaning about to relieve his anguish. <offramp> sneered at <DD> and said "Welcome to the big leagues, kid." after <DD> managed to not score a point this round. He can be comforted by knowing <juan31> has likewise not scored, although <OCF> is too nice to point that out. There's no truth to the rumor-we think-that Lebron James is "looking for" <chessmoron> after hearing <cm's> assessment that LeBron is too old to play any more. It's not recommended that anyone say that, but when you're 7' 6", you can get away with such things.

Will we see another 2 man battle between <Switch> and <Winky>? Will <juan> and <DD> ever score a point? Can <Count> hold on to the lead in Bonus Ranker unlike loser <OhioChessFan>? Will <OCF> <EVER> shut up about the Carlsen win? What NBA player will <chessmoron> insult next? Stay tuned for the answers to these and many other penetrating questions. 8 rounds to go in our thrilling contest.
