<Format>:

[player]-[player] [result] [# of MOVES]

==4 Different Scoring Methods==

Standard Moves Ranker (1st place-Over[3pts], 1st place-Under [7pts], Exact [10pts])

Bonus Ranker (3rd place-Over[1pts],2nd place-Over[2pts],3rd place-Under [5pts], 2nd place-Under [6pts]

Standard Moves/Bonus Ranker [Add all to together]

1st place Ranker [how many 1st place you have in Standard Moves Ranker]

For example:

<Note: Participants 3, 4, and 5 are predicated on nobody scoring an exact as Participant 2 did. If someone hits an exact, the closest score under and over will score the points for second place.>

Actual Game: [player]-[player] 0-1 45

Participant 1: [player]-[player] 1/2 45
Participant 2: [player]-[player] 0-1 45
Participant 3: [player]-[player] 0-1 44
Participant 4: [player]-[player] 0-1 43
Participant 5: [player]-[player] 0-1 46

Participant 1: No points even though 45 is correct. Results must be correct. If Result is wrong and moves # is correct...you get no points whatsoever

Participant 2: 10 pts rewarded for correct Result/moves #

Participant 3: 7 pts rewarded for closest under (1st-Under) to 45 moves

Participant 4: 6 pts rewarded for the 2nd closest under (2nd-Under) to 45 moves.

Participant 5: 3 pts rewarded closest OVER(1st-OVER) to 45 moves.

Again, the description of Participant 3, 4, and 5 are based on there being no exact prediction as made by Participant 2.

<IF> there is an exact or an under closest, the highest scoring over participant will be 2nd over. The second closest over will be 3rd over. The <ONLY> time there will be a first over is if there is no exact or under winner.

<Ohio> I can't let this post sit in my forum because normally I don't let things in there that could cause arguments, but I'm not going to just delete it either:

<<OhioChessFan: I've known you for years, and you might well be in the running for the member least likely to be considered "Vile Scum," in caplocks, no less.> Want to revisit that opinion?>

No. I've publicly criticized <z> on several occasions over the years, but for me his pluses far outweigh his minuses on the one topic I really care about- chess history.

But mainly I think that <VILE SCUM> is way over the top, and certainly unjustified. I might think <z> is wrong about this or that, but his motives have never seemed to derive from such a characterization as that.

Hmm... Apparently there *is* a webmaster at cg.com after all. I just read his most recent post, and this caught my eye:

chessgames.com chessforum (kibitz #30849)

<I can tell you <one> thing though—<anyone> who goes around accusing other members of contributing to Daniel's death is a <troll>, plain and simple—and I know one when I see one. The Admin of this site will not tolerate such shenanigans.>

I note that <tpstar> was first out of the gate on this one. He posted the charge around 5 seconds after <Daniel> died, and the almost unbelievable insensitivity of his "timing" did not surprise me one bit.

If there was ever anyone at this website who I would even consider calling that epithet we have been discussing, it would be him.

Amoral in a way I've seen from no one else here in 12 years.

That's just my opinion, of course.

Let's see who: <BP>, <OCF>, <tga>, <OP>.

Search Kibitzing

Now, it's hard to debate these chowderheads, in more ways than one. I don't have any respect for this outright race baiting troll.

If they could create and defend such an account (coaching each other in ebonics), they could easily have created a sock puppet pretending to be <Daniel>'s mother.>

Kenneth S Rogoff (kibitz #345922)

That's what set <tga> off. I think if your name appeared there, you'd maybe think "vile scum" would be in order. I have some faults. I am arrogant and sarcastic. I am short tempered. I type before I think. But I'm not a racist. The rest of the linked post ain't all that great either, but anyway.

OhioChessFan: I don't believe any are trolls pretending to be Daniel's mother either. How despicable would that be?

And yet to be "cute", <zanzibar> just tossed that out in a public forum. Fine, whatever, I didn't even address it. I figure what someone says is either true or it's not. No point in getting worked up about it. I do sometimes, but there's no point in it. But now, that same person who could accuse a group of people of those things is apparently a ringleader of trying to get those people he libelled removed from the site. Adjective, really?

With the updated information, do you care to revisit that opinion?

  jessicafischerqueen:

<Ohio> lol no sir. That is certainly <z> on a very bad day, but I'm not going to judge his entire character based on that one post.

I made hundreds of posts at cg.com that I would judge to have been made by <VILE SCUM>, but I hope my overall posting record might temper that assessment.

I'll give <z> the same benefit of the doubt.

That said, on any in that list making a <Daniel's mom> sock, not only is that ridiculous, but it also shows a rather shocking lack of "people comprehension" on <z's> part.

  jessicafischerqueen:

Er particularly in the case of <BP>, who must have made 1000 posts accusing a now well known account being a <Daniel's mom sock>. He went on and on about it. I'm not sure how that qualified <BP> to be a candidate for inventing that "sock" to begin with. Seems overly Byzantine to the point of ridiculousness.

Nobody ever asked my opinion about it, for obvious reasons, but when I first saw that account I was sure it was a sock, but after subsequently reading a few posts <Annie> made, I came to believe it is bona fide.

<Ohio> This "football" you Americans speak of is mystifying to me.

Our hockey teams have to win 16 (sixteen) games to get a championship. I'm not sure how these "Bears" managed it in 3 games?

OhioChessFan: I think it's a sock. Just a few things-3 specific and 1 general-I noticed that just don't ring true, but maybe. 55-45, a close call. Regardless, I don't understand the endless speculating on those matters that will pretty much be clarified in the near future.

OhioChessFan: The American corprorate world got tired of their entire workforce showing up hungover 4 times a week in the playoffs, so they made a plan to have a one game series, to be held on Sunday afternoon, supposedly enough time to sleep it off before work Monday morning. The plan doesn't work.

Yep, and the best sign of all is that the new <webmaster> has decided to move his alerts from the Kibbutzer's Kafe (???) over to the actual chessgames.com forum.

Perhaps he forgot which forum he was on when posting yesterday.

That's happened to me more than once, with predictably appalling results...

Yes I have heard dark rumors aboot this fabled "one day playoff" when ads can be sold for upwards of one billion (1,000,000,000> pounds sterling per 30 seconds.

I only heard aboot this because our local newspaper was complaining that Canadian companies might not be able to buy Canadian ad spots for this game, depending on the results of the current trade negotiations with <President Trump>.

On a rare serious note aboot that, we hear all aboot <President Trump's> rejection of the global market, but how many people outside of Canada know the real low-down on our "supply side" dairy market?

An overwhelming majority of Canadians reject this pork barrel arrangement, because we have to pay artificially high prices for dairy.

So why is it there? Because <Justin Time for the end of the Canadian economy Trudeau> knows he would be voted out of office in an <Ed Trice> if he abolished this pork barrel.

The euphemistically labeled "supply side dairy" industry is almost all located inside of Quebec.

For decades, this has been an important concession to the French Canadians who comprise most of the dairy producers in Canada. There are tons of dairy producers in Ontario as well, but if they were on their own they would never get away with this pork barrel. They are content to remain silent and hope everyone forgets there are cows in Ontario.

You see, Quebec has- and has always had, always will have- more than sufficient swing votes to bring down any given federal government.

No protected cows, no <Trudeau>.

This enrages Western Canada, where we would consider it win-win to have a free dairy market and no <Trudeau>.

Western Canada hated his father, but they hate him much, much more. Especially in <Alberta>.

Ironically, all of the "cows" in <Alberta> are men, who are technically not cows. People eat more Alberta fake cows than any other food item in Canada.

How about "self-deluded with a falsely inflated opinion of his own self-importance"?

IMO Zanzy was the no.2 culprit in vandalising Daniel's player's page.
