Sep-01-06  chessmoron: <WannaBe> Need a favor. Tell <hitman84> to come to my forum tomorrow to finish up his predictions.
Sep-01-06  suenteus po 147: <WannaBe> I haven't gained much experience on FICS since joining, so I was wondering if you would be able to help me out connecting to the right player's game and checking channel 123 (?) for the tournament.
Sep-01-06  EmperorAtahualpa: Oh no! Is my angstgegner <hitman84> also participating in the tournament? OK, strike my name from the list please! :)
Sep-01-06  EmperorAtahualpa: OK, but seriously, how long do you think the tournament will last? There's a football game on TV at 2:30 PM (Eastern time) which I don't wanna miss...

  WannaBe: Final Tally:

KingG 3/3
NakoSonorense 1.5/3
EmperorAtahualpa 1/3
Suenteus Po 147 0.5/3

Next tournament, first Saturday of October!

Sep-02-06  suenteus po 147: <WannaBe> Thanks for hosting the tournament. It was fun.
Sep-02-06  KingG: <WannaBe> Yes, thanks for organizing this.
Sep-02-06  NakoSonorense: I had fun. Thanks for organizing it, wannabe. I hope you get to participate in the next one, though... don't ask me why. :)
Sep-02-06  ganstaman: Ah, sorry for missing the tournament. I was on duty for my college campus's student run volunteer EMS squad. I was supposed to get off duty at the start of the tournament (which is why I earlier said I would be late), but ended up getting a call just before the end of my shift (people need to learn how to play basketball without getting hurt). And if there's anything that takes longer than assessing a patient and taking them to the hospital down the street, it's writing a piece of paper that says you did that.

Hopefully next time. At least I got to play EmporerAtahualpa in one game before the tournament began.

WannaBe: You know you're bad (player) when people want you to play so they get at least a +1! =)
Sep-02-06  dr.roho: <wannabe> Do you think what I said in the chessgames challenge on the 100 page is true? Please read and tell me what you think ,because I have had a lot of negative feedback....

WannaBe: <dr.roho> I would not put too much thoughts into it. (Don't worry about it, or lose sleep over it.)

People here are entitled to their opinion(s), you *may* have stated yours in a slightly strong fashion (by using caps) but I thought you were just stating your mind.

Again, maybe/also people may not know your age, and take that into consideration. Don't get too wind up about it. Just enjoy the corrsp. game against GM Nickel.

Sep-03-06  dr.roho: <WannaBe> Thanks. Ummm...Who do you think will win this match? I mean to be honest, GM Nickel is better then all of us and for some of us much better. Theoriticaly(I have no clue if I spelled that right or not) I think we can't win. Mostly because of this democratic system. I dont want to be a downer but that is what I think. But your right I should enjoy this game and not take it seriously. Just wondering what your thoughts on it were. Have a good day....

WannaBe: <dr.roho> Theoretically, it will be a draw, and I think it will be a draw.
Sep-03-06  dr.roho: Change <i> to <e> and one <l> to two. Gotcha. Thanks for the insight. Ummm....Can we bet on this game(not you and me) but like on chessbuck system?

Looks like Las Vegas didn't treat you very well.lol.....

WannaBe: Vegas treated me very well, as long as I have lots and lots of money to give them!! =)
Sep-03-06  dr.roho: <wannabe> What do things like <=)> mean and how did you get down to -79 chessbucks! If I were you, I would stop going to Las Vegas. Invest in something sensible. Like Enron.....
