 | | WannaBe: I hate this, my DSL isn't working (I very firmly believe it's Verizon's side, and not mine.) So, I'm using my wireless and picking up signal from my neighbor and pigg-backing... =( |
|

 | | WannaBe: And the stupid signal keeps on dropping in/out/in/out... |

 | | WannaBe: Taking my computer (laptop) to work tomorrow and plugging it into the land-line there, just to check that it's not my network adaptor, and to save my own sanity. |

This time, I'll be white, same time control, 14 days/move.>> Regarding another game at GK, You with the White, sure, no probs. Just give me until next Monday, or so. Need some more time to get this Consultation game going (thanks to YU know who:-)), and to wrap up a few games I still have at Schemingmind. I'll let You know in a few days. |

 | | WannaBe: <brankat> Okay, very cool. Please take your time. Looks like Verizon got their side straightened out, I can use my DSL again. |

Sorry, I had (spend) some time thinking about the end-game, it appeared to me that you were indecisive on where the king should have headed. I thought, it would have been interesting, that you had K-side majority pawns 4 vs 3 and if an effort was made to attack that side, I'd have to make the decision on helping to defend the pawns, or make a break to queen side to aide the attempt to promote a pawn. |

| Jan-21-07 | | chesstoplay: Hi WannaBe,
I did not forget you!
Last week's central states snow storm screwed up Yury's return from Kansas. He was suppose to be in O'Hare at 4 PM to teach for us at 7 PM. His last call to me Monday night was just after 10 PM and he was in Chicago finally. Anyway, we got together today and I asked him if he is going to play in the Chicago Open. His current plan is to compete.
I mentioned your chessgames.com get together as promised. Yury said he'd be pleased to join the chessgames.com group for maybe half an hour between rounds!! We'll should probably set up set up something easy, fun and fast. Let me know your thoughts.

Solid third place, my other small consolation is that I prevented the tournament winner from achieving a perfect score. I gave him the only loss. (The game was posted on the beer page a few weeks ago. =) |
