WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

Jan-24-07  RonB52734: <WannaBe> I'm still angling toward going to the Chicago Open, although there are a lot of things that have to fall into place for that to happen. I've also been floating the idea to some of my "betters" here locally.

WannaBe: <RonB52734> If you can, you can, (That'd be great also.) But I realize we all have other responsibilities and items/things that needs to be addressed first.

If not this year, there'll be future possibilities.

Personally, I hated this position, I looked, and looked, and then looked some more, and I just can't figure out which way to move. :-(

Jan-25-07  Silverstrike: Hey! You stole my queen when I wasn't looking!

WannaBe: <Silverstrike> Errr... it 'accidentally' fell on the floor. I'll put it back on the board. Sorry about that.

Okay, I 'see' what happened, I meant to type 'q', but instead, struck '1' key instead. Much apologies, wasn't trying to pull a 1uick one on you.

Jan-25-07  YouRang: (Good try WannaBe :-)
Jan-25-07  Silverstrike: <WannaBe> <YouRang> LOL! Don't worry. :)

WannaBe: Looks like my company doesn't want me in this office (And I even promised them I'd shower before coming to work!)

They are sending me up north again. Going to be at San Francisco area office for a few days next week, starting Monday...

Jan-27-07  whiskeyrebel: WannaBe, you're a computer geek aren't you? I'm an ignoramous when it comes to technical stuff. I need to get a laptop and a Fritz ( or maybe another brand ) that are compatible and not that incredibly expensive. Do you have any shopping tips? I probably won't use the laptop for much more than the Fritz and maybe a file for my writing and basic email crud. What set up do you have?

WannaBe: <Silverstrike> I'm going to resign from our game. My position looks horrible, without any pawn support in from of my King, and you have a great attack coming down the H.
Jan-28-07  blingice: Hey <WannaBe>, how's life?

WannaBe: <blingice> Fine, just picking up some equipments, and leaving the office to go to San Francisco. =)
Jan-28-07  Silverstrike: <WannaBe> Fair enough, though I'm suprised, I respect that. If you're ever up for a rematch, let me know, but there is absolutely no rush. Thanks alot for the game. :)

An interesting point was that I meant to play 9...Qxd7, but I typed in 9...Nxd7 by accident.

Thanks again. :)

WannaBe: Have made it, saw 3 cars that got pulled over by the Highway Patrol, and one 2-car accident near Cupertino (home of Google).

Typical California driving/trip.

Jan-28-07  NakoSonorense: Glad you had fun! At least you weren't stuck in trafic for 2 hours like it's common in the 405 fw.
Jan-29-07  Dr.Lecter: <wannabe> when was this accident? I live by Cupertino, and I saw no such thing. Maybe that's because I was in the accident, but who knows?

WannaBe: <Dr.Lecter> It was around 3 PM, I was North Bound, 101, it was already off to the shoulder, and paramedics were strapping people to the gourneys.
Jan-29-07  Silverstrike: <WannaBe> I thought that we had only played twice.
Jan-29-07  Zebra: <silverstrike> I was up in your part of the country last September - very beautiful. (Sorry to barge in on Wannabe's forum, but you don't seem to have your own.)
Jan-29-07  Silverstrike: <Zebra> Thanks alot! Erm, are you refering to Scotland or Sweden?
