WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

kwgurge: <WannaBe> Skipping right over my lousy results at Foxwoods, I did meet Yury and passed on our team's greetings. He is a very nice guy and asked me to say hello to the Team for him.
Apr-21-07  chesstoplay: Hi Wannabe,

Spread the word for you dinner or room party idea at the Chicago Open.

Yury is still up for meeting with the chessgames.com players that we can gather.

My friend, Tim Just, author/editor of the current Rules of Chess (5th edition) might tag along with me when I drive down for the "party".

Let me know details as you work them out!

Thanks,

Your friend in chess,

Peter / chesstoplay

Apr-21-07  NakoSonorense: Hey wannabe. I decided to get this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage... If my computer crashes, it'll be your fault.

WannaBe: <hitman84> Yep, they (company) lock us away for 2 yrs, don't let us see the light of day!

If I have to do it over again, I'll probably not go into computers. Instead, I'll be a professional chess player! =)

Apr-24-07  hitman84: I'm beginning to feel the same thing <WannaBe>

Chess is a better profession, you get paid for wasting your life away in a cool, calm and easy manner.

Apr-24-07  hitman84: Your pay is directly proportional to the effectiveness of time wastage.
Apr-24-07  technical draw: <Wannabe> Ever hear of the Konica-Minolta opening?

WannaBe: <technical draw: <Wannabe> Ever hear of the Konica-Minolta opening?>

Yes, that is, if I keep Kibitz'n and don't do any work, get fired, there will be an opening.

WannaBe: I'm outta here... Ciao! Adios Amigo! Sayonara! You don't have Ol' WannaBe to kick around anymore.

Apr-24-07  technical draw: <Wannabe> Don't leave. We don't want our Wannabe to be a Hasbeen.
Apr-24-07  Dr.Lecter: <td> don't worry. He's probably only going on a break and will come back. I think...

WannaBe: I've got a new number 1 for worst luck athlete. Mark Prior.

But hey, he's got a guaranteed contract!

Apr-25-07  THE pawn: Hey <WannaBe>!

Congratulations on your victory! I think you already had a good advantage but that last move was self-destruct. I played that last extremely quickly, I was sure it was good! (a song you probably know yourself) Anyway, if you've never beaten a ±1900 rated player, then you just did.

WannaBe: <THE pawn> It was a great 2 game match, and I thank you for the compliments.
Apr-25-07  Dr.Lecter: <Wannabe> Oh, I thought you meant that you were going to that faraway place.
Apr-28-07  Tactic101: See you later <Wannabe>! You're heading to a planet in the Libra constellation about 21 light years away. According to my calculation, you should reach there in about 1,050,000 years at the speed of 6000 m/s. That's a little over the human life span, isn't it? Have fun and good luck....... you're gonna need it! :)

PS All right <Wannabe>, enough with the jokes about being a Y/Z player and I don't know what! What is your rating? (your true rating, no jokes!)

Apr-28-07  NakoSonorense: Uhm... What if his rating *is* a joke? Can he say it? :-)
Apr-28-07  NakoSonorense: BTW, wannabe, I got the TV tuner already and it's working all right. I thought it was going to cause my computer to lag a lot becuase it's been running kind of slow the last few months, but it didn't. I still need to format my hard drive, though, but I'm a little lazy and I don't want to back my files just yet... I guess I'll wait til I'm on vacation so that I have more time.

Laters!

WannaBe: <NakoSonorense> Very very cool!! :-)

<Tactic101> Errr... Ummm... Well, my rating on Yahoo chess is around low 1200s, my GameKnot rating is around 1300s, my schemingmind is around 1500s...

My USCF rating is around mid 900s http://www.uschess.org/msa/MbrDtlMa...
