WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

WannaBe: <Tactic101> So, as you can see, when I say I suck/horrible, I'm not lying!
Apr-28-07  evenua: Sorry my reply is late. :(
About the avatar, hmm, lemme see.. you return that bunny first, so that i can take that and you take mine. :D
Apr-28-07  Tactic101: But you've improved a lot! By about 300 points since last year. That's impressive. I think you are much stronger than what you consider yourself, forget about what you're USCF rating is. You did a good job in winning a king and pawn endgame (as shown in the kibitzer's cafe). And there are more examples. Be confident, man!

Apr-29-07  chessamateur: <WannaBe> I'll tell Rybka and Hydra to watch out for you.
Apr-29-07  Thrajin: Now that I'm a full member, it's about time I post something on your page, Wannabe. I'll start by challenging you to another game or two on gameknot when you have the time. Hit me up.

WannaBe: <Chess Classics> Heck yeah! 3 more weeks baby!!!

<DrDum> and I are gonna INVADE the Windy City! (Run for the hills, hide the women)

I took it off my profile, because I figured it's too late to make further arrangements for sharing hotel, etc...

As soon as I hear more from <chesstoplay>, think we are going to try for a Thursday night dinner, at a semi-casual restaurant across the street from the hotel. Something like T.G.I. Fridays, or Applebees, or ?

We're doing it on Thursday, and at evening, because that will allow the adults to have some adult beverage, and not affect their play the next day. =)

You interested in joining us? You may NOT have any adult beverage(s)! But I'll buy a root beer if you show up.

May-01-07  Chess Classics: <WannaBe> Well, I would love to, and I would do my damndest vis-a-vis mowing lawns, washing cars, etc...but I'm going to be in France, where 14-year-olds can have "adult drink". Good luck in the windy city!

Regards,
CC

May-04-07  WBP: <Wannabe> for what it's worth, I also like Victor Borge. The way you say you like him in your bio--with a riddle/joke--reminds me of the old NYC joke:

Tourist: "How do you get to Carnagie Hall?"

New Yorker: "Practice."

...I didn't say it was funny

May-05-07  chesstoplay: Hi <WannaBe>,

Yury is talking about a Saturday morning breakfast get together right now.

He won't get home from the US Championship until Thursday night.

He'll get to the Chicago Open on Friday sometime.

Satrurday AM will be his first breathing time and before tough rounds begin.

Can this work for you and Dr. Drum?

Let me know. Thanks!

Your friend in chess,

Peter / chesstoplay
