WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

Jul-22-07  chessmoron: http://www.metacritic.com/books/aut... Critic's B+ vs WannaBe's C+. Whom should I believe?

WannaBe: Much like movie review(er)s, if there is a reviewer, whose taste/past reviews you agree with, or disagree with, I tend to go with that person's opinion.
Jul-22-07  NakoSonorense: I took a glance at a copy of the book today and it's HUGE! I think I'll just watch the movie...
Jul-22-07  chessmoron: You lazy bum! The font is huge, and I'm half away finished for my first day.
Jul-22-07  NakoSonorense: Yuo read the book and I'll watch the movie. Let's see who finish first, shall we?

WannaBe: The movie for the 7th book isn't out yet, and I'm done with the book. I win.
Jul-22-07  chessmoron: I'll draw easily. 2+ hours movie. No sweat.
Jul-23-07  NakoSonorense: <cm> I don't know about yours, but there's a button on my remote control labeled "fast forward." You have no hope.

Good thing I wasn't racing you, wannabe! Otherwise...

Jul-23-07  chessmoron: I have a remote control too. It's called skim.

WannaBe: <NakoSonorense> I've seen the first 2 movie, and compare to the books, the paper version is much better.

Go to the library, read the first book, see if you like it. Give it a try, you might be surprised...

(Book one took me five hours, one sitting, Sunday night to read it... Had to go to work the next day... It was rough, almost like my college days before a midterm/final. =)

Jul-23-07  NakoSonorense: I'll give it a try as soon as I'm done with Summer School. The only thing that has kept me from reading it before is that I think it's a children's book. But it is not, right?
Jul-23-07  chessmoron: <Nako> NO! 20-30 year old are reading it but with different book covers as they try to hide it.
Jul-23-07  NakoSonorense: Why? Is there a reason as to why they have to hide it???? Can;t think of any...

WannaBe: <NakoSonorense> Ummm... I thought it was a children's story, but if you enjoy reading "Lion, Witch, Wardrobe", and possibly some others, you will like Harry Potter.

Books 1, 2, 3 and really small... Only book 4, 5, 6, 7 that's huge, books 4-7, each one is over 600+ pages. Book 5 was over 800 pages, book 7 was over 700 pages long. (I had to go to my shelve and double check the numbers.)

But it only took me about 11 hours to read book seven. I didn't do it at one sitting. Like I said, get book one, read it, and see if it grabs you like it grabbed me. =)

Jul-23-07  Tactic101: 'Mindless' isn't the word I think of when I think of Deathly Hallows. It's quite sad and heartbreaking. Some parts may get a little dull, but it's quite enjoyable and is a bit more emotional than the other books. I'll give it an 'A' 'A+' if JKR changed the epilogue, which seems to be formed when she was just beginning the series, hence it's of lower quality compared to the rest of the book.

jessicafischerqueen: You guys are lucky. I have to get up <half an hour before I go to bed>.

I bet <Van Wheely> to win the <Bee> Tournament, but I think <Polgar> may win.

<MannBee>, don't you think it's strange that none of <your people> are in the <Bee> tournament?

I think it's strange.

WannaBe: The way they are DQ'ing riders in the Tour, I have a chance to win it this year!

They just sent the over-all leader home!! Rasmussen!

Jul-25-07  Larsker: They don't even need any proof anymore. Rasmussen just didn't inform the International Cycling organisation about where he was for three weeks in June.

I think they should just stop the race all together - but the French don't have the dignity to do that.
