WannaBe: In case I forgot, congrats to them Lady Bruins. =)) U. Mich (69-63) won, but the last spread I saw was -6.5, so if you took UConn w/ spread, you got very lucky, if you bet on them U. Mich, I feel bad; the O/U was 148.5

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

WannaBe: ¡Olé! ¡Olé! this is what I see for "¡Olé! ¡Olé!" (game of the day Mar-13-2026) I also know this issue have been around for a while, and it's not that important, in IT term, it is a level 'C', cosmetic fix. But I just wish to report it again. Can CG.com unify this ...

WannaBe: <FSR> March 11 is his birthday, and usually PoD is chosen from the birth date of the player. So unless CG.com decides to change the algorithm on how PoD is decided. We will randomly get "undesired" player(s).

jessicafischerqueen: You get to live on a beach?

that's pretty cool <MannBee>.

Do you have one of them straw hut thingies with <daquiries> in them and chicks?

  jessicafischerqueen: Dang.

Hey the character in the movie I watched last night was from <Huntingdon> Beach.

It's called <The Lookout> and it's pretty darn good.

No doubt you were accidentally filmed in one of the scenes in this film, since you live at <Huntingdon Beach> in a straw hut surrounded by daquiris and chicks.

Where do you park the car?

WannaBe: <whiteshark> No, I did something rather 'stupid'...

I thought I was following normal development, and then after white's move, realized it drops a piece...

jessicafischerqueen: OK here's my official guess for <what did <<<<MannBee>>>> play>.

<Re8+>?

Do I win a prize?

Aug-20-07  brankat: <WannaBe> <Nf6> = "normal development". White responds with <Nxc6>! = "Abnormal" loss of a Bishop :-)
Aug-20-07  brankat: What's the Award? A HINT: I desperately need an Endgames book :-)

jessicafischerqueen: <branko> Dvorjak's endgame book is highly recommended by <Dom and Eyal>, but I've never seen a copy myself.

It's not really Dvorjak, of course, but it sounds suspiciously the same.

WannaBe: <brankat> is correct!! I ignored the theory line of Qb6 (to protect the bishop), instead, I played a 'normal' knight move. =(

WannaBe: You've already won a trip to Korea! With the 4077!! =)
Aug-20-07

  jessicafischerqueen: Heh.

that show is TERRIBLE!!

They show it all the time on FOX network.

A memorable line from the insufferable holier-than-thou <Hawkeye Pierce>:

"If only someone could come up with a cure for the common war".

Blecch.

but the <Robert Altman film> is hilarious.

I seen it like 10 times.

HELP I'M GOING TO KOREA

WannaBe: 1. Be sure to pack a lot of gauze, I hear that 4077 is running low on those.

2. That show taught me all the humour that I ever needed to know.

3. The theme song, "Suicide Is Painless" is kick-butt!

Aug-20-07
Premium Chessgames Member
jessicafischerqueen: Yes the song is very beautiful.

Did you see the guy sing it "live" in the <Robert Altman film> Of MASH?

"it brings on, many changes,
But I can take or leave it
If I choose..."

We need 300 litres A-positive STAT!

Hey do you think Korea is REALLY the same as the MASH TV program?

I wanted to move to Seattle just cuz I loved <Frasier>. Imagine how disappointed I was to learn that <Frasier> was actually filmed in <Budapest>!!

WannaBe: The one at the dinner scene? Where the black guy (baritone, I think) sang the song??

One of the best ever!

Funny story... When my ex-girlfriend and I were together, we used to watch the show, all the time, for her, they were all re-runs, but for me, they were brand new.

And the TV show never sang the lyrics, always the melody. So, she always told me: "Watch the movie, watch the movie..." without telling me why.

So, one day, we got the VHS, (yeah, I'm old...) and watched the Altman movie. The intro and the dinner scene with the song blew me away. I was very <IMPRESSED>!!

jessicafischerqueen: Yes that's the scene all right.

How great is that movie!!

Favorite line:

"Somebody get that dirty old man out of this operating theatre..."

Aug-21-07  brankat: <WannaBe> Just saw in <Ron>'s forum that the pool hall/bar idea didn't work out, although it was very close. Do You still plan to pursue something similar?

Aug-21-07  technical draw: I knew it would come to this! <wannabe> is mentioned in an article about corruption in Sweden:

But this is:

Here is <MannBee> with beach snapshots:

And here is <MannBee> on "Bee Source Forums":

Here is <MannBee> on <Youtube>:

And finally here is <MannBee> on <Vimeo>:

http://www.vimeo.com/user191666

He gets around so much, of course, cuz he can fly and is a noted <superhero>.

Aug-21-07  technical draw: I don't know JFQ, I still think "our" Wannabe is that guy from Sweden. I never did trust him you know. Always so helpful with computer info. He probably has all our computers under his control ready to use them for his corrupt purposes. If you don't hear from me in 3 days call the CIA.
