On the contrary my wife is very optimistic (sometimes too much...) so I feel relieved because she's very helpful to me in bad moments. I recommend to you the same therapy. :-) |

If <chopin> is still hanging around here, (He's an econ expert) he'll probably tell you that things will get <A LOT> worse, before they get better... And I'd agree with him! (One of the few times we've ever agreed. =) <NakoSonorese> also have some econ background, and I tell ya, the roller-coaster is going <DOWN>!!! On a side-note, had my taxes done by my tax-guy (Elderly gentleman, early sixties, maybe late fifties), he's been doing my personal tax returns (and soon, my bidness tax-returns) for the last 6 years, we talked about the current state of (California/U.S.) economy and over-all healthiness of things... Obviously, he knows more than I, when it comes to econ, and money, but we both agreed, we've (U.S.) been in recession for the last 6-10 month already, if not, we've been in recession for the whole past year!!! (Otherwise, the government would not be refunding money to the tax payers trying to kick-start the economy again!) The government and the news won't admit it, because it may cause a (minor) panic, but I tell ya, I see it with my bidness, and he sees it more than I do... |

| Mar-01-08 | | positionalgenius: <Wannabe> Help!
Firewall keeps blocking playchess.com- here is chessbase's response: |
|
| Mar-01-08 | | positionalgenius: Dear chess friend,
thanks for your mail. The playchess.com server is running fine, so
please
set up your firewall or proxy in a way that port 6002 on the proxy can
run a
TCP/IP connection to www.playchess.com
The IP address often changes.
You can easily find out the current IP of playchess.com by entering the
"tracert playchess.com" in DOS mode.
|
|
| Mar-01-08 | | positionalgenius: <Wannabe> How do I open Port 6002 and what is a TCP/IP connection?
Thanks in advance! |
|
Mar-01-08
 | | WannaBe: <positionalgenius> How are you connecting? Http? If so, you can often do this: http://www.playchess.com:6002 and that should connect you to the specified port. If you leave out the :6002, it defaults to the 'industry standard'... I hope this helps. |
