  jessicafischerqueen: Heh...

For my money, the funniest single post of the year was during the <WC Match> when <Mateo> posted this:

"Is GM Shipov drunk?"

HAHAHAAHAHAAHAAH

heh

Let's not insult <Dom's> literary talent by comparing him to some hack.

OhioChessFan: These posts remind me of this interesting quote:

A serious writer is not to be confounded with a solemn writer. (By the way, I vote for <Phoney Benoni> for funniest) A serious writer may be a hawk or a buzzard or even a popinjay, but a solemn writer is always a bloody owl.

For posting the moves played at the Anand-Kramnik match right after they were played. Thanks to him, those of us who were watching the games with a half-hour delay, were able to know what was happening on board almost live.

Dec-23-08  technical draw: <JFQ> Exactly how much of a bribe are we talking about here? Maybe something can be arranged. My guy will contact your guy.

Best Avatar: User: The Lone Banana>

Thank you. I'll take my compliments where I can get them.

I had to submit the graphics, there were no pre-made avatars for the only yellow and black man ever to mold his own bullets from silver. Believe it or not! Even now, after your high praise, there's not likely to be a gold rush to combine fruit, classic children's television, and chess.

When I got Email confirming acceptance of my proposed avatar, there was also a comment that I hurry up to claim it before someone else got it. One would assume this was either cheerful, friendly sarcasm or else an automatically generated warning.

Glad to know someone actually liked it.

Dec-23-08  The Lone Banana: <OhioChessFan: Best avatar Lone Banana>

Thank you.

I wanted something to answer a time-honored puzzle: Who was the only yellow and black man to ride through the Old West, shooting bad guys only in the hand (if he fired a shot at all)? As I am neither an artist nor a computer graphics expert, I had considerable difficulty with both concept and execution. I'm glad someone liked it.

Your own avatar is perhaps a better use of a image from culturally significant popular entertainment. There is a tie-in with chess that is neither too blatant nor too subtle.

I <<Officially Change>> my vote for <funniest Kibbutzer> to:

<Jessicafischerqueen>.

My good pal and mortal enemy, the incumbent funniest man in show biz, <TD>, has thrown off the gloves:

<technical draw: <JFQ> Exactly how much of a bribe are we talking about here? Maybe something can be arranged. My guy will contact your guy.

Dec-23-08
technical draw: Funniest: technical draw

(no sympathy votes here)>

Well my attempt to solicit a Bribe from <TD> in exchange for voting for him has failed-- (I had offered him a <general kung pao Roast Squab Dinner>)-- so I am now forced to bite off all my own fingers and vote for myself in order to cancel out TD's vote for himself.

Mrs. I'm not Lying down for this (actuallly I'm at work in a chair, which is probably worse if you think about it).

Dec-23-08  NakoSonorense: funniest: <technical draw>
Dec-23-08  technical draw: Ok <Ms. JFQ> You want a proxy war? Ok, I'll give you one!

Mr. Wannabe Sir, I have in my possession 10 proxy votes, all for TD as funniest kibitzer.

I also want a careful count of the votes as I suspect a huge Ponzi scheme is taking place right under your rabbit nose.

By the way did I mention I saw your photos from the World Open? Very sharp, handsome dude you are. Regards, Merry christmas and Aloha....Your best friend and future benefactor.....T (can't lose) D.
