WannaBe: <NpCA> did not realize you wanted it to be posted on other web page(s)... There is a free built-in tool in Windows, called 'Snipping tool', one way to do this, is to generate the FEN image here, then snip that image -> Save As JPG or whatever you wish to your computer

Apr-07-09  whiskeyrebel: wannabe, it's official..I'm gonna be going to the Chicago open but will have to miss the joys of the National open this year. I hope we can both make it in 2010. Is anybody from CG.com gonna be in Chicago? Hello?

WannaBe: <whiskeyrebel> Have fun in Chicago/Oak Brook, or is it even at Oak Brook this year?

<DrDum> and I was at the Chicago Open a few years back, and got to meet a few of the CG.com members. =)

Apr-09-09  ForeverYoung: hey whiskeyrebel. I mentioned to Raptis that you were going to be playing in chicago. He advises to beware of the lower rated youngsters who are rapidly improving. lol, Paul
Apr-09-09  whiskeyrebel: Man, playing at the Austin chess club I'm always on my toes when it comes to talented kids. One of them won the K-8 in Nashville. Many of the kids are rated well over 2000 and I'm sure if anyone is going to be taken for granted it'll be me!

WannaBe: <technical draw> When I first registered, I thought of something that is chess-related, but me, being somewhat of a newbie to chess, (and a dumb-a$$), couldn't think of anything.

But I came to this site, because I Wanna Be a better chess player. =)

Apr-14-09  technical draw: <WannaBe> I kind of figured that. It's just that I saw there was a song titled Wannabe and I thought there might be a connection. (BTW have you become a better player?)

You know us wabbits, afraid of big boids!! =)

Apr-15-09  Pyke: Hi guys,

I don't mean to interrupt, but I think you don't have to worry 'bout the bird anymore ... hehe:

  jessicafischerqueen: Hey <MannBee>!!

I'm just dropping by to see if you know about <Spyware Blaster>.

I don't know how I did without it.

I was routinely picking up all kinds of spyware and tracking cookies every day after my "sweeps"-

But since I got the <Spyware Blaster Firewall> almost nothing at all ever gets through, so I don't have to clean up with my <spyware killer> software.

I'm thinking that the <firewalls> are more important than anything else.

WannaBe: <jessicafischerqueen> Yes, firewall is a nice thing to have. =)

(But an external router doesn't hurt either.)

WannaBe: This is pretty cool, in the second round of the GK.com 54th tournament, in my group, there are 2 players in Europe (Portugal and Netherlands) and the fourth player is Indian.

Again, I'm the highest rated player in the group, guess I'll have to suck it up and really try hard.

May-05-09  NakoSonorense: Good luck! Kick their European and Asian a$se$!

WannaBe: Star Trek Movie Review (No Spoilers)

B-/C+, then again, I'm pretty tough with my Trek movies...

I thought the actor who played Bones did the best job (portraying) a previous actor, but at a younger age/roll.

No one from the previous Star Trek episodes, producer/writer wise, was involved, no Brannon Braga, Rick Berman, etc...

It's a quickie fix for Trekkies (I even wore my shirt for the movie... What a geek). Some cute inside joke.
