WannaBe: <keypusher> One doth wonder, if the Million man and then woman march had the (opposite) affect on their cause. (Maybe much like how BLM have, with their own corruption and how Blue have avoided mentioning BLM)

WannaBe: Observed something weird. Using W11, Chrome Version 141.0.7390.108 (Official Build) (64-bit) the divide line between kibitz'n are some normal thin-ness, while others are randomly a bit thicker. Not a big deal, just want to comment on this. (both regular mode and incog mode)

WannaBe: Figures that MS would do it on a 2nd Tuesday of the month. That is when the updates (usual release) goes public. (Unless there's a super-duper-emergency zero day update)

WannaBe: Oh just some case that a magistrate judge let someone avoid jail in MD... Never heard the term of MJ before (No, not Michael Jordan), and from my Google search, it can vary from state to state. (Sorry, did not know you had responded weeks ago... Apologies. And much thanks, too)

tpstar: It is very sad to watch Brett Favre completely ruin his legacy. His tear-filled retirement speech was so moving and heartfelt, but now 18 months later he is one of the most hated sports figures around, especially by his formerly loyal-to-the-death Green Bay fans. He will probably be the ultimate example of how not to retire, and how you shouldn't leave the game only to come back under different teams. All he had to do is retire for good (like he said) and mind his manners, and he would never pay for meals again. Instead I can't think of another sports hero who went from so high to so low besides O.J. Simpson.

Another competitor who destroyed his legacy was Bobby Fischer. Strange that such a legend of the game just couldn't handle being anything less than the very top.

Pete Rose and Joe Jackson are in the picture. Steve Garvey to some degree. Roger Clemens and Barry Bonds.

Aug-21-09  technical draw: Mike Tyson....
Aug-21-09  chessmoron: Speaking of Iron Mike, did anyone got a chance to see his documentary? The DVD is out last Tuesday.

Is this, does this, really qualify as 'scientific study' that can also be applied/used in real world? Or are these the same scientists that did global warming projections??

Absolutely hilarious.

Aug-27-09  chessmoron: <WannaBe> How is it possible that I have 600mb used on my 1GB USB stick when there's nothing there?

I believe that I dragged a movie file to the trash rather than File-->delete.

How can I delete the remaining 600mb knowing there's no file or anything on my USB?

TheAlchemist: <chessmoron> How about formatting it?

WannaBe: <chessmoron> Every storage device, hard-drive or otherwise, have a thing called File Allocation Table, or FAT, it can get/be corrupted, and this may have happened to your USB.

What <TheAlchemist> recommended is one way, but if you think there are things on there, and do not wish to take a risk, try to repair the USB.

'Pending on what system you are using, and what version, (especially windoze) right clicking on the drive, should bring up options on what you want to do.

Let me know if you need more help.

Aug-27-09  chessmoron: <TheAlchemist> Wow I didn't know that. Okay that was fairly simple.

<WannaBe> I have no files on there so formatting it was it.

Thanks!

Aug-27-09  NakoSonorense: A 1GB USB stick? They still make those? Mine is 4GB and I got it like 3 or 4 years ago.

Aug-31-09  ganstaman: <WannaBe> I have a computer programming question on my form, and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking a look at it (because I think I remember that you know this kind of stuff)? I think it would be <very> easy for anyone knowledgeable in html and Perl. And I don't know if anyone actually reads my forum and would therefore see my question.

I can repay you in rating points on the site of your choosing.

Aug-31-09  ganstaman: Oh, I forgot to add a "Thanks in advance!" to guilt you into helping.
