WannaBe: Just raise the minimum wage to $100/hour end hunger, homelessness, and people being poor. Everyone will have plenty of money to buy homes and feed family. I'm ready to receive my Nobel Prize in Economics in 2026. If that doesn't fix the problem, raise min wage to $1,000/hour.

Good job with the Caissars <Wannabe>.

Jan-09-10  hangingenprise: wannabe: now that pete carrol has left trojan land the bruins finally, finally have some chance of going roses. really??
Jan-09-10  Jim Bartle: But UCLA already plays in the Rose Bowl several times every year.

WannaBe: <Jim Bartle> is right, since we are bunch of nice guys, we let other people use it on New Years day, and so they can claim that they played in the Rose Bowl...

WannaBe: Why, is a country, rich in oil, can't generate power/electricity?

Must be Bush's fault.

So, pardon G. Arenas, he was doing nothing more than a tribute to the ol' name!!

WannaBe: I am sorry, when I have to know what a discount rate is, and in order to understand what a player is 'getting' paid requires that I have gone to Wharton business school, something is wrong...

Jan-12-10  hangingenprise: wannabe: now that carroll has left trojan land and taken norton and bates with him, you won't have to lease out the rose bowl jan 1. bruin land might actually get to play for the roses. that and the police-ncaa-are on the block. garrett already threw the basketball team under the bus football is next. gee surprise, surprise mcknight is turning pro. apparently during his new err.. usc... err someones suv around la la land is not enough.

Jan-12-10  dakgootje: <Holliday will be making salaries of $17 million for seven seasons>

Must be sweet to make more than you will be able to spend... in a single slugging-season

Jan-12-10  Jim Bartle: Lane Kiffin the new coach? This is going to be verrrry interesting. He was dumped in soap opera style from the Raiders, hires on at Tennessee and immediately starts feuds left and right, then quits Tennessee after one year.
Jan-12-10  zanshin: USC fans must be saying: "The sky is falling!"

WannaBe: Here comes Lane Kiffin, leaving all the minor violations behind in Tennessee!!!
Jan-13-10  hangingenprise: wannabe: WWOOWW!! holy proceedure call batman, did that come out of left, center, and right field.

i heard rick neu. sent lane a welcome back card showing his love, printed by the ncaa infraction committee. norm chow headed back to trojan land?
just goes to show that you are a bruin for four years, but a trojan forever.

don't cancel that lease for the roses just yet as usc again is the pro team in the southland. don't worry wannabe, we will still let our little brother scrimmage in the coliseum where real football is played.

I don't see what the big deal about this is. We all know Arenas only has about a 40% of hitting his shot.

Drum roll ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ !!!!

Jan-17-10  chessamateur: By the way we are playing on the same team match. I must apologize for not playing 1. e4 2. Ke2!

WannaBe: Looks like Jets are going to Indy!!
Jan-17-10  technical draw: Yes. WannaBe. Now that we have the final four who do you think will win it all? I say the Colts.
Jan-17-10  Jim Bartle: I agree. Indianapolis to win.

Phony Benoni: The Jets beat the Colts in 1969. Sounds like a trend to me.

Seriously, it's hard to pick against the Colts, particularly since they want a little payback for their loss to the Jets earlier. But New York has some karma going, so who knows?

And I have the funny feeling Minnesota can shut down New Orleans.
