WannaBe: <unferth> In my not so humble and (very, very, very) biased opinion, let Kershaw pitch. The fans will appreciate his effort and dedication to LAD. Especially tonight; the game is virtually 'lost' for all intent and purposes. But there is game 5 tomorrow. Truely last chance for

WannaBe: Just raise the minimum wage to $100/hour end hunger, homelessness, and people being poor. Everyone will have plenty of money to buy homes and feed family. I'm ready to receive my Nobel Prize in Economics in 2026. If that doesn't fix the problem, raise min wage to $1,000/hour.

Phony Benoni: As happy as I am to win a Caissar, I'm just as proud of being nominated in seven categories. Apparently, I'm doing more than one thing right!
Jan-08-10  Benzol: I'm pleased to have been nominated and thank all those who voted for me.

However, I'm really pleased to see Dave ( phony benoni ) win the Best Collection award as the sheer amount of hard work that both he and Peter ( suenteus po 147 ) just put into the USSR Championships more than deserves recognition. WE are very lucky to have them both on this site.

:)

Thanks for the best run Caissars I've ever seen- this year's awards were truly special in that all of my friends won prizes.

heh

WannaBe: 'Til next Caissar, I thank everyone for their time, participation, nomination, and their diligence in voting.

And for those who did not nominate/vote for me, <NO SOUP FOR YOU> (Seinfeld episode...)!!!

Jan-08-10  hoodrobin: hello Wannabe

Most constructive: hms123

Jan-08-10  hms123: <Wannabe> Thanks very much for running this again. I greatly appreciate the award and all of those who voted. This was a banner year for the awards--and, luckily enough, for me as well.
Jan-08-10  talisman: thanks to <WannaBe> for running the election. Congrats to all the winners!

chancho: <WannaBe> What did you think of the two part epi where Monk finally finds out who killed his wife?

Domdaniel: I second, third, and 99th Jessica's congratulations. The Wabbit has shown exemplary dedication to the Caissic cause ... and cracked a few memorable jokes when the darn things were finished safely without anyone's house burning down.

However (there's always a however) ... WannaBe bears no responsibility for this one - but I wish I could say the same for a certain royal person of the female persuasion, zipper or postcode <d8> or <d1>).

<jessicafischerqueen> -- <all of my friends won prizes>.

I'm truly happy for all of your friends. They're good people. Perhaps you meant to say "the prize winners turned out to include several of my friends" ... ?

I think I'll read it that way. Maybe I can *become* a friend someday. Is it better to grovel or to argue back? Did *Batchimeg* rise from the depths of the Jessican Id, see me as a *rival film critic* and despatch me like Xena wasting an Aucklander or Vera Menchik casually adding a grandmaster to her mile high club?

<so-many-questions>, as Mondo sez.

My congrats all round.

Domdaniel: <chancho> -- <Mork finally finds out who killed his wife ...>

I always assumed it was Mindy.

Who'd have guessed, 30-something years ago, that would be the high point of Robin Williams' acting career?

When cast as a human he seems kinda lost.

Jan-08-10  crawfb5: You know the old saying, <Dom>...if you want a friend, buy a dog...
Jan-08-10  achieve: <I second, third, and 99th Jessica's congratulations. The Wabbit has shown exemplary dedication to the Caissic cause> I'd like to multiply those sentiments. Or at least reverberate.

Thanks <Wannabe> - it's turned out to be quite a memorable edition, heh.

Domdaniel: <Niels> -- apologies in advance, but some buzzword in < I'd like to multiply those sentiments> sent me into math mode ...

I noticed that 2 x 3 x 99, while not difficult, is not exactly easy to calculate using normal mental routines. But if you translate 99 into <illicit roman numerals> - IC, for 'one less than a hundred', which the actual Romans never used - then it transforms at once into the elementary 600 - 6 = 594.

Who said those Romans - or Womans, even - never did anything for us?

keypusher: <wannabe> Nice call for lifetime achievement!
Jan-09-10  malthrope: <WannaBe: Okay, <mal>, where are your votes...>

Sorry <WannaBe> my back went out, so I haven't been posting in the last two days... :((

Anyhoo, I did note that <hms123> was a shoo-in to receive the *Most Constructive Kibitzer* award a most worthy winner to be sure. :))

And, the *Best Game Collection* found it too difficult to select anyone in particular from the Big 3 - <Suenteus po 147>, <Benzol> & <Phony Benoni> as they are all so deserving of this award... :) Best I could have done there would be to split my votes giving each one nominated a one-third boots in the count. Of course, if I had voted that way it would not have changed or altered the final results in any way. =)

In addition, I'm very glad to see <Sneaky> being awarded the *Life-Time Caissar Award* ! :D

Thanks once again for running the annual <Caissar Awards> contest and hope we all behaved well enough to make it much easier on you this year. :^)

All the Best, - Mal
