| Apr-05-10 | | technical draw: <Nako> The ones that I have seen in the movies called chino usually have some trace of Chinese features. I guess there should be thousands of the descendants of those early Chinese migrants mixed with Mexican and Indian blood. |

 | | WannaBe: Chino is also where one of our many prison resides... This is from last year, August. http://www.cnn.com/2009/US/08/09/ca... Also, if I should happen to get that job with SoCal Edison, my training will be at Chino, for nine month. |

 | | keypusher: Thanks for that Supreme Court article, WB. I especially liked <Lawyers for the inmates say the savings to taxpayers under their reading of the law would amount to $953 million a year now being spent to incarcerate current prisoners.> Clearly the way to save really big bucks is to set <all> the prisoners free. |

 | | WannaBe: <technical draw> I never fail to amaze myself on what I can do, or get other people to do! =) NYR-PHI game is going OT, and it's a doozy, winner goes to play-offs, loser goes home! It's a regular-season-play-off game... If that makes any sense. |
Apr-11-10
 | | WannaBe: Oh, this is good, a GM (his day-job team missed the play-offs) is going to build a team for US, coached by someone whose team also missed the play-offs!! http://sports.espn.go.com/oly/olyho... Genius!! And why is Burke (American, I take it, from reading the article...) working for Canadian hockey team? Is he there to sabotage Toronto? If so, he has succeed greatly! |

| Apr-11-10 | | achieve: Great finish by "Lefty"!
The Augusta Masters keeps me up and on the edge of my seat every single year; what a course. |
| Apr-11-10 | | technical draw: He did it!. Number 3. Behind Nicklaus (6) Palmer (4) and Woods (4). Great stuff today. |
| Apr-11-10 | | Jim Bartle: Woods was a soap opera out there today. Three bogies to start, then holed a shot from about 170 or whatever, three-putted from eight feet (hardly looking at the second putt), then eagled and birdied in. Anybody else think we'll be seeing Mickelson's shot out of the woods on 13 a few times in the future? One of the greatest shots I've ever seen. I wonder if they'll put a little monument on the spot, the way they have with some other famous shots. |
| Apr-11-10 | | technical draw: <Jim> Is there a video clip of that 13th hole shot? All I get from google is a disastrous 13th hole of the 2007 US Open where he shot a 9 (nine). |
| Apr-11-10 | | Jim Bartle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXbe...
But he missed the putt!
You'll appreciate this one, TD:

Classic. |
| Apr-11-10 | | technical draw: <JB> It's amazing that little piece of wood or leaf or whatever it was falling at that precise instant exactly on the putting line. I wonder what the odds are? Also could a spectator run in and grab that thing for a souvenir ? |
| Apr-11-10 | | Jim Bartle: What if he'd lost by a stroke? They'd put the seed (I think that's what it was) in a humidifier and exhibit it in the Golf Hall of Fame. |
Apr-11-10
 | | WannaBe: Even if he saw it fall, and it is in his line of putt, once he address the ball and started his backswing, he have to go through with it. Otherwise, it is also a penalty! |
| Apr-11-10 | | technical draw: <WannaBe> Are you sure about that rule? The seed wasn't there when he addressed the ball so it's an unforeseen event. |
Apr-12-10
 | | WannaBe: <technical draw> Yep, it's a rule! (Read address...) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glossa... |
| Apr-12-10 | | technical draw: <WannaBe> From the rules: " A player has “addressed the ball’’ when he has taken his stance and has also grounded his club." Which means that once the addressing takes place it already counts as a stroke no matter what happens after that. Now I know why there are so many clubs wrapped around trees. |
| Apr-12-10 | | Jim Bartle: A few years ago Tiger Woods was set for a long shot over a lake. He was at the top of his backswing when somebody shouted, and he just stopped his downswing. After a few glares he set up and hit the shot again. He wasn't penalized. But speaking of penalties, how about his "walking on water" ad? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao2U... It's clearly a penalty to touch the water before hitting the shot. You can't test like that in a hazard. |
