WannaBe: Interesting 'situation', because it did not happen, but let's play what if... 4th qtr with 4:36 left, the receiver/runner is by the side line and the ball is stripped. If a defender ran out of bounds (because of momentum, not pushed or forced out) by rule, he/she/it/them/us cannot ...

WannaBe: <Knight13> You mean best profile category in the Caissar Award??
May-27-10  Knight13: <WannaBe> No. That guy doesn't have a biography. He has a profile full of objectively useful information. Talking about subjective stuff, and writing "my favortie players are..." doesn't count.
May-27-10  Knight13: <WannaBe> Personal statement. <auto>biography (I'm sorry for saying biography; my mistake). Personal reflections. Something about the user's life. Not profiles full of websites, stats, etc. <Sneaky>'s story about that Cuban chess master is an example of a very good one.
May-27-10  crawfb5: <Knight13> Check out the Karpov story at the end of my profile.
May-27-10  Knight13: <crawfb5> See, that's what I'm talking about! The unique moments and experiences that separates you from everyone else. I liked it!

Lol, see mine, too! :-D

Jun-08-10  Jim Bartle: Just saw a couple cut-ins while watching another game. The guy can really throw hard, and the ball seems to be jumping around.
Jun-08-10  Jim Bartle: Oh, please, please, don't ruin this guy's arm. 14 K's in his debut. Don't do a Kerry Wood or a Gary Nolan with him.

tpstar: I don't understand why the NCAA punishes the program now without targeting the actual wrongdoers before. All it takes is one student-athlete and one wily agent to violate the rules, but by the time they release their findings, that player is long gone while the remaining players and coaches suffer the penalties, even years later. The NCAA should work with the NFL to invoke real-time penalties on those who broke the rules during college instead of dashing the dreams of present and future collegiate players with no involvement, most of whom won't become professionals anyway so their college career is all they have. Totally unfair.

WannaBe: Big realignment coming next week in the NCAA landscape, power house schools in Texas (U., A & M, Tech) will decide on the fate of Big-12 (now down to Big-10).

With ever increasing TV, merchandising, gate receipt money, the definition of 'Student Athelete' will be redefined, yet again.
