WannaBe: Interesting 'situation', because it did not happen, but let's play what if... 4th qtr with 4:36 left, the receiver/runner is by the side line and the ball is stripped. If a defender ran out of bounds (because of momentum, not pushed or forced out) by rule, he/she/it/them/us cannot ...

Jun-11-10  Jim Bartle: Wannabe: How many universities will be in the Pac-"10" in two years?

I've always thought the Pac10 was great as it was. Ten teams, all play all every year, and made up of five pairs of schools (Washington, Oregon, NoCal, SoCal, Arizona). So each team would play one team from each pair at home each year, and travel to play the other.

Colorado or others would ruin that.

Jun-11-10  Jim Bartle: I agree with tpstar. Those who broke the rules are rarely those who pay the penalties.

I'm not so concerned about the players from earlier years who broke the rules as with the coaches who have moved on. USC has been hit pretty hard, but the two coaches, Pete Carroll and Tim Floyd, are long gone, and suffer no consequences.

Another thing that bothers me in college sports is that a high-school player can commit to a school in order to play for a particular coach, who promises he'll stay for the four years the player is there.

Then the coach quits and moves to another school--no penalty, can coach at the new place immediately. But the player has to stay at the same school, unless he wants to sit out a year if he transfers.

WannaBe: There are strong rumours, that it will become Pac-16, with the original Pac-8 becoming West(ern) Division, and U. of A. with ASU joining 6 new members to form the East(ern) Division.

But remember, until 5 or 6 years ago, Pac-10 only had 8 conference football games, (NCAA only allowed 11 total for the season, and when it was changed to 12 total games, Pac-10 went to a 9 game conference schedule).

So, as far the scheduling goes, I do not think it's (such) a big deal...

There are also strong rumours, that if it becomes a 16 member super conference, it will ask the BCS to guarantee 2 slots in the premium bowls, that being the 2 division winners. The winner of the championship game would obviously be seriously considered for the 'National Championship' game.

Dude, if I'm gonna comment on this, my page would surpass Kenneth Rogoff within the next 5 days!

Let's just say, the government that governs the least, governs the best. This country did not become what it is by relying on the government for help and/or hand-outs.

Jun-17-10  dakgootje: 62?! If I were older I'd take on French again and move to France. Yes, even though they are crap at football/soccer.

  WannaBe: Contains vulgar language.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LDT...

The riots videos are already up, I 'love' modern technologies, and I am so ashamed of my city, and also my state. Just pathetic... Totally pathetic...

The law enforcement agencies made downtown a no-ticket zone, meaning, if you don't have a ticket for the game, you can't enter this zone, but yet, this is a joke...

And in the video, just listen/watch the idiots... California/LA county, run by liberal idiots and unions...

  jessicafischerqueen: <MannBee>

I was very excited to see a message from such a noted superhero.

How are things at the Hive of Justice?

South Koreans all believe the North sank that ship.

However, none of them are worried about an invasion or escalation, mainly because there are five US nuclear submarines about with hydrogen bomb missiles on them.

They run the air raid siren one Sunday a month, but they've been doing that since 1952.

The people are very excited about the World Cup.

When we beat Greece they smashed a bunch of windows in my town.

However, I'm really ill at the moment so I don't even know what the score was against Argentina- I'm assuming we lost since nothing was blown up that I heard. Until today, I had to lie on my back so I couldn't even watch TV because I have an inner ear infection. I suppose I could have tried taping it to the ceiling but that seemed like a lot of work.

So I've been living inside my head for a week. I don't recommend it. Could I borrow yours?

Who are you rooting for?

Jun-20-10  Everyone: Get well soon <jessicafischerqueen>!

Does that mean you can only have one friend at a time?

WannaBe: <technical draw> Yes, I am only allowed to have one Jewish friend at a time, (Family tradition). If you want to be my friend, I would have to ditch Mr. Schwartz.
Jul-01-10  technical draw: Boo, hoo... I thought I was already your friend....
