WannaBe: Learned something new, since '69 when Save became MLB stat, only 5 pitchers have recorded a save by pitching 5 innings or more. 4 was done in regular season, and 1 in post (MadBum)

WannaBe: <CIO> LOL. I remember those mems... <chancho> North by Norwest, totally agree, the audiences know that the plane scene was filmed earlier and played on a screen behind. It was still drama. Same thing with the Mt. Rushmore chase scene.

If you interested in the whole story, and how HMS Resolute is now a desk in the White House, (Okay, a part of her, not the whole ship, it is the desk where Jack Jr. like to peek out from the little door while JFK worked.) read "Resolute" by Martin Sandler, it is a super-bitchin' read. I highly recommend it. Paperback version available.

WannaBe: <whiteshark> Ah, yes, I think <ketchuplover> and I were discussing the subtle difference/nuance between the KIA and the KID... (I have very short term memory! =)

Tried to follow that link, but facebook wanted me to log-in, but I am not a FB member, never will be. So I tried to google image for it, but came up with nothing! =(

All the chess sites listed only have tournament results, (even that Chinese/Shanghai) but no pics!! Waaaaaaa!

Aug-01-10  whiskeyrebel: Hey, flying in tomorrow for the U.S. open. I'm playing the 6 day sched which starts Tuesday night. My organized wife has your pub info copied down and if we don't see you at the tourney we'll eventually hunt you down (don't I have a couple beers to collect from a wager from a year or so back?) USCF site says Naka is there to "relax" rather than play. I'll bet you those beers double or nothing he winds up entering the 4 day.

WannaBe: <whiskeyrebel> I *DO* remember owing you a few brew! What day should I expect you? Because I like to be prepared for your visit.
Aug-02-10  whiskeyrebel: I'll contact you when I hit L.A. and connect with my wife's schedule (she's in Seattle, we're meeting there). I'm coordinating things with visits from one of my sisters who lives in San Pedro. Maybe we'll meet her at your lovely establishment. I hear the blue cheese burger is killer.

WannaBe: I 'love' this web site, I read about it in a coverage from on-line security. And when I accessed it, I got no pop-ups about cookies, security, third-party certifications. (COOL!)

Then I tried to click on the various newspaper icons, to read the feature article...

WannaBe: <whiskeyrebel> Probably your fault, I have had the same phone number since 1998!

562 760 5763 or pub 562 494 4300 We usually close around 10 PM, we are not open until 2 AM like a bar.

Monday night would probably work better, I have the spare time to spend and talk with you!

Please let me know!

WannaBe: Sunday night may work too, first pre-season Dallas Cowboys game will be on, plus Yankees-Boston baseball game at the same time. Plus Sunday is probably our slowest night, we can chat to our hearts content.

Just let me know before you come, so I can hide the women and the booze.
