| | WannaBe: In an absolutely non-chess related, and not a bit funny news... I have accepted a job offer to return to my previous employer, KonicaMinolta, but this would be at a different office than the one I used to work at (Huntington Beach, CA). I will be assigned to the San Mateo, CA office, and report directly to the Human Resource Director. I have to call her, and setup an exact starting day of employment. I have been to the city many times, as my past tour of duty with KM have sent me up there to work, so I know the people in the office there already, this will not be a direct computer programming/engineer work, but will be more of a support/networking side of things. Having known the Director of HR, I have never directly reported to her, but we have always know each other, and I have occasionally helped her out in the office, it will be nice to be back to familiar grounds again. =) |

| | WannaBe: Thanks to everyone for the well/good wishes, I think our next focus should be on <dzechiel>... (See my post on his forum.) I have made all the arrangements for the pub, and my condo that I lived in for the last 10 years (sell, sell, sell!!!) and I will be relocating to a new place in California, closer to where <jim bartles> called home for years. (Maybe, if I mention his name, I can get free beer, or get the s*it kicked out of me, or both...) Yes, I am (re)starting my career on August 8th, (8/8) in San Mateo, California, for a while, I will be renting a cheap motel/Norman Bates, until I can find a more suitable housing arrangement. If there are anyone who likes to scream in the shower, please let me know. The hotel owner would like to meet you. |
