Mar-05-06  sitzkrieg: Me too. I think we might get to play Coganos first line.
Mar-05-06  RonB52734: Ok then. I'd like to hear from Robin01, but I'll post Rf7+ sometime after 9:00 p.m., so the next time control will be 10:00 p.m. It's now 7:56 p.m.

WannaBe: You sneaky you... =) Work that 24 hr clock to our adv.
Mar-05-06  Robin01: I am here. I also like 46...Rf7+, so I also vote for that move.
Mar-05-06  RonB52734: Great pics, <WannaBe>!
Mar-05-06  Robin01: I was out most of the day and only got back a short while ago. I even missed Topalov's win this morning.

  WannaBe: <RonB52734> Thak you. =)
Mar-05-06  RonB52734: It's unanimous!
Mar-05-06  Cogano: Yeeeehaaaaa. Unanimous vote. You have no idea how happy that makes me feel. I'll talk to you later folks. Cheers!:)
Mar-06-06  sitzkrieg: Ke2 has been played. I think we d continue checking.
Mar-06-06  RonB52734: Yes, I vote Re7+
Mar-06-06  sitzkrieg: me2 Going for unanimous again!:)
Mar-06-06  Robin01: They moved already! That was fast. I think 47...Re7+ is good. I do not have time to completely analyze this at work, however, it looks pretty much the same as a previous position except that white's king was on e4. Although, we probably should look at it some anyhow. I guess they intend to put their king back on f1 instead of f3 after our check.

If you are in a hurry to post, then I will vote for 47...Re7+. Again, I do not see the hurry and would not mind looking at the position over a board this evening. Have to go now. Talk to all later.

Mar-06-06  Cogano: I agree. Re7+. When I last analyzed the position & came up with a "checking" line, this was the best move/ continuation for us at this point! So to sum up:

Team Captain <RonB52734>'s vote: Re7+

Team Member <Robin01>'s vote: Re7+

Team Memeber <sitzkrieg>'s vote: Re7+

Team Member <Cogano>'s vote: Re7+

Team Member <WannaBe>'s vote: Pending!

Mar-06-06  sitzkrieg: Right. Robin, you are right, the only point of their move can be to bring the king to the first line.
Mar-06-06  Cogano: To all <Dark Horses> members: I agree with <Robin01> in that they'll take the King to f1. What I want to ask is whether any of you think it prudent & useful to check him again, say to g1 as I suggested in my latest line? Thanks much. Take very good care & have a great day. Cheers mates! :)
Mar-06-06  sitzkrieg: Good point. IMO it is probably wise to keep the rook on the f file if we cant get a perpetual check on the king, and i dont think we can. But after Ba7check, we maybe can try moving the king to our pawns? I think we can look at possible scenarios when we get there, for the moment it seems good to drive the king back as far as possible.
Mar-06-06  Cogano: <sitzkrieg> Thanks for taking the time to reply. I agree. In my latest line, (4th post from the bottom)I drove their King to g1, even though that means he's closer to their pawns when they advance. But that made the most sense. If I were White, that's what I would've done. That's what I think anyway. As you say, when we get to that position we'll look at it again. Take very good care & have a great day. Cheers mate! :)

WannaBe: As far as the voting: Don't worry about my vote, you have 4 votes already.

Will look at the move, but I have complete faith in ya'll!

Mar-06-06  Cogano: How kind of you <WannaBe>! :) I'll try my best not to fail you. :) Take care & have a great day. Cheers mate! :)
Mar-06-06  sitzkrieg: Just looked at your photos. Nice hat!

WannaBe: <sitzkrieg> Thanks!! I have 2 of them. (Really!)

I keep one in the office, when I feel a little silly, I wear it. (but not often)

I keep the other one in my car so when I meet people that I never seen before, I tell them to look for the 'jester' hat! Works out great!

I believe Re7+ would be the best move, then K either goes to d or goes back to f, then we check them again! I do not we'll be lucky enough to have their K on the c for a ...Rc7. But it's wishful thinking. =)
