WannaBe: Lookin' at NYJ's game schedule, something unusual stood out. They just lost to DEN 13-11, a coupla weeks ago, they lost TB 29-27, and they started the season by losing to PIT 34-32 One doth wonder of the remaining 11 games, how many more times NYJ will lose by 2 pts (or by a ...

WannaBe: Figures that MS would do it on a 2nd Tuesday of the month. That is when the updates (usual release) goes public. (Unless there's a super-duper-emergency zero day update)

WannaBe: Apparently Hilary is all over the news here in SoCal and parts of Arizona, some news outlets are warning severe damages and asking people to not go outside this weekend, possibly early next week, too...

I did not know Clintons are visiting CA.

Sep-02-23  technical draw: Jasson Dominguez of the New York Yankees hit a home run on his first major league at bat. I thought that was a rare accomplishment until I read that 134 players have hit home runs on their first major league at bat. However, Dominguez hit a home run on his first major league swing! I won't check to see if others have done this since I don't want to spoil the moment.

WannaBe: This is for our friend <Chancho>, (Who I will blame, for getting me "hooked" on this).

Wiki says there will be (only) 3 episodes? Just "acquired" the episode 1, (90+ min) and will enjoy it while also have some dinner.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_C...

(<Chancho>, It's on Peacock, NBC affiliate, I believe, so it's not like Star Trek, which is CBS/Paramount+ affiliated, if that makes a difference)

Rather disappointed. Oh well, 30 minutes to first pitch.

WannaBe: Saw the third and final episode of "The Continental", guess the best thing I can say about this little series is that the sound track is great.

Excellent sound track, great songs from that era.

Oct-22-23  technical draw: <chancho> <did you know that Ian McShane was in the sci fi series Space 1999?>

Space 1999, with my ex-girlfriend the beautiful Barbara Bain. (Of Mission Impossible fame)

Oct-22-23  technical draw: A mission Impossible anecdote:

When Barbara Bain went to audition for her part in MI she had to audition in front of the executive producer who was none other then Lucille Ball (through Desilu productions). It is said that when Lucy saw Barbara she said "forget the audition, you're in." This is rarely seen as most actors are rejected after the first audition. Lucille Ball had an eye for talent.
