  tpstar: P) NID 4. Bd2 0-0, Black snatched Pc4 but White got around it with 10. Ne5 & 14. Bf3 & 15. a4, White blundered the Na5, then lost the exchange on b1, soon Black up Rook and 0-1.

M) 1. e3 e5 2. Qh5, level game out of the opening, 16 ... Nxf2!? should have been R2P for 2 pieces but White erred with 17. Nxf2 Bxe3+ 18. Kb1 (18. Rd2) Bxf2, White got Rook trapped on c7 for 0-1.

P) Pirc, 4. Nf3 & 5. Bc4, both sides castle short, Black got 8 ... e5 in, Queenside Pawn advances by Black and strangely no defense to 15 ... Ba6 winning the exchange, White lost piece instead but traded down into BN3P vs B3P and almost held until Black broke through on the Kingside and won.

M) Old Stodge by transposition, 6. Na4 Bb4+ (consider 6 ... Bb6), Black sacrificed on h3 for attack, regained piece on d4 so Pawn up, White walked into Knight forks (Bb2/Kf2 & Rf1/Kf3) and 0-1.

P) 1. e3 e5 2. d4 ed 3. ed Nf6 against computer, 6. Kd1!? highly unusual, equal QRR vs QRR game but Black should have weakened Pawns with 33 ... Qh5 and infiltrated on the f file, Black missed check on h8 and got mated.

M) King's Knight opening with 3. Be2, 5 ... d5 over 5 ... d6, Black won Pa2, 12 ... Qb8!? strange choice, traded down up Pawn but Nb6 trapped, White should have played 31. Bxb7 winning quickly, instead QRB vs QR and Black did well to last until BP vs PP where White misplayed the very end to draw.

tpstar: P) Ruy Lopez Main Line, discussed 8. c3 & 9. h3, Black got ... Bg4 in, traded 2 sets of minors so White stood well, QB better posted on e3 than g3, Black won 2 Pawns on the Queenside and was winning until 29 ... Rc2!? 30. Bb1 Rxf2 and Black gave up Ne4 for 2 more Pawns, eventually BB3P vs B6P and White had excellent technique to win.

M) Pirc/French, discussed 3. c4 or 3. f4 to gain center, even out of opening since Black got ... d5 in, Black should have trapped White's Queen with 16 ... Bf4 but missed it, too many Queen moves by White, Black dropped Nf4 and White nicely set up Greco Mate or else back rank mate to win.
