| Apr-10-10 | | notyetagm: <CG.COM> Somehow you seemed to overlook the games from the <2010 GOTTH' ART CUP> in Hungary, the tournament in which 13-year old Richard Rapport (R Rapport) became a GM. Also the Beliavsky-Ftacnik game was stupendous. I was just looking for it and realized that you do not have *any* games from this tournament. Thanks

| Apr-10-10 | | achieve: Hello there <CG> -- I was told by <crawfb5> that you "know of this type bug", but nevertheless decided to indeed bug you with this one: Endgame Explorer: NPP vs B It doesn't allow access beyond the first page...
Very "secure" website you're running though ;p |

| Apr-10-10 | | DrNyet: On a player's page, I suggest a field to "Jump directly to page #", similar to the same option shown on forum pages. For players with thousands of games, this would make it easier to browse to a certain year or event. I'm aware of the game search option on the home page, but sometimes I prefer to browse the list on the player's page. Thanks |

 | | SwitchingQuylthulg: <WannaBe> I think <DrNyet> means browsing the games rather than browsing the kibitzing; as in, jumping directly to Kasparov's games 1701 to 1800. |
|
| Apr-12-10 | | DrNyet: Yes, <SwitchingQuylthulg>; thanks for clarifying for me. |

| Apr-22-10 | | Bridgeburner: <chessgames.com>
I have a problem with the endgame explorer. For instance when I go to Endgame Explorer: PPPP vs PPPP to research K+P endings of a certain type, I can't get past the first page of games. When I click on the end arrow or the next arrow I get an error message saying <Sorry, no games. You may wish to visit the home page and try a different search.> So I can access the first hundred games, which is how I've set up my profile, but not the subsequent 8 pages and 747 games. Am I overlooking something? |
|
| Apr-22-10 | | achieve: <Bridge> No - I notified the technicians of this very problem bug almost two weeks ago, and still nothing is fixed, nor is there a reply of any kind. We'll have to start "banging" the door now, instead of a polite knock knock |

 | | WannaBe: On a related side note, to the pppp vs PPPP ending, if you download the PGN file, it does go all the way to 2009, maybe this is somewhat insightful information to the SysAdmins on what can be a cause of the problem. I did experience the same symptoms described previously, and I have my setting at 100 games per page/display. |

 | | chessgames.com: <ChessBookForum> Congratulations to User: MaxxLange (now a full premium member). <Ending Explorer Bugs> Give us a little bit of time. The whole reason why we're in this mess is that months ago somebody pointed out a rarely seen bug, and in fixing it hastily we created a commonly seen bug. We are aware of the problem and hope to get it working ASAP. <BobCrisp: I'm wondering roughly how many games are submitted on average each week by users via the PGN upload utility.> Oh, either about a hundred or a thousand, depending on whether Benzol is busy. ;-) <2010 GOTTH' ART CUP> <FOUR NATIONS CHESS LEAGUE (4NCL)> We'll try to get these in soon. |

 | | Peligroso Patzer: Today's GotD: Kramnik vs Topalov, 2006, has an incorrect date [2006.01.09 (sic)] in its scoresheet. It was actually played on 5 October 2006. |

| Apr-22-10 | | laskersteinitz: Hi CG,
It would be useful to have an "opening explorer" for a given search. For example, I did a search on the homepage for all games between Topalov as White and Anand as Black, and it would be nice to have an opening explorer for just those games. I'm not sure if it's technically possible, but I think it could be useful if it can be worked out. Thanks. |

 | | WannaBe: <laskersteinitz> They do have opening reportroie for each player, just go to the page, of the player in question, and go from there... |
|
| Apr-22-10 | | laskersteinitz: I am aware of the existing feature. My request regards having an opening explorer for a limited set of games; not necessarily those of a particular player, but those of a given tournament or a given pairing of players or a given time period: for example, what is the opening explorer for all games played in the 90's? |

:) Actually CG I'm curious as to how many games I have now submitted to date? |
|
Apr-24-10
 | | chessgames.com: Benzol, you've submitted games 64 times. That's a nice number. Your total # of games submitted is 3,341 (not including anything that might be in the queue right now). |
